Entoto Mountain

Entoto Mountain is the birthplace of Addis Ababa which is found at the altitude of 3400 Meter from sea level and a place of great historical importance. Here, Emperor Menelik II established his first palace, marking the foundation of the capital, and nearby stands one of the earliest churches around Addis Ababa which is st.Mary church . The area is filled with the fresh aroma of eucalyptus trees, introduced during Menelik’s time. From Entoto, you can also enjoy a full panoramic view of Addis Ababa. Since the tour is private, there is also the opportunity to do a light trekking walk around Entoto that will allows you to enjoy nature at a relaxed pace.

The Ethnographic museum

The Ethnographic Museum is located inside Addis Ababa University near 6 kilo and was the former palace of Emperor Haile Selassie. It was founded and managed by the Polish scientist Professor Stanislaw Chojnacki. The museum has two floors, showcasing a rich collection ranging from Ethiopian crosses and traditional musical instruments to cultural artifacts from different ethnic groups. You can also see the bedroom of Emperor Haile Selassie, making it a unique place to learn about Ethiopia’s history and culture.

The lunch break will take place at Addis Ababa traditional restaurant, known for its tasty local dishes and honey wine (tej). We can also enjoy a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony, making it a relaxing and cultural .

National museum

After lunch,we will visit The National Museum of Ethiopia .it is one of the most important museums in whole sub-sahara Africa .And it is a home to Lucy our 3.2million-year-old ancient ancestor. The museum has a rich collection of fossils, stone tools, and some of the oldest human exhibits in the world. You can also admire a beautiful artifacts from Ethiopian emperors and churches, traditional costumes, Emperor Haile Selassie’s throne, and century-old golden crowns. It is a fascinating place to learn about Ethiopia’s deep history and cultural heritage.

Merkato! It is the largest open-air market in Africa. During the visit, we will explore a wide variety of products—from fresh vegetables and spices to coffee beans and hand-woven baskets,recycled products, traditional crafts, and much more, that will allows you to experience the vibrant life and culture of Addis Ababa.

Tomoca coffee shop

The final attraction of the day will be Tomoca Coffee, opened in 1953, is the first coffee shop in Ethiopia. Here, you can taste authentic Ethiopian coffee brewed to perfection and enjoy a true coffee experience at its finest.
