This tour has two parts: first discover the Bavarian culture of Munich with its rich traditions and the historic and hidden corners of the city center. Immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere and get the possibility to taste the best traditional Bavarian delicacies like local beer.
You will learn interesting stories and anecdotes about Munich people and after we get in search of traces of Munich's royal stories such as the eccentric fairy tale king while we visiting the Nymphenburg Palace.

Meeting Point
fish fountain on Marienplatz
- The Marienplatz is in the centre of Munich's old town. This is just before the corner of Rathaus and Dienerstraße (next to Ludwig Beck). Please arrive at least 10 minutes early.
Frauenkirche (Cathedral Church of Our Lady)
The Cathedral Church of Our Lady, in German "Frauenkirche", is Munich's most famous church and landmark with it's two towers: the north and the south tower. It's dating from the 15th century and the seat of the bishop.
Karlstor
One of the three preserved city gates of Munich. Behind you will find the famous Karlsplatz, the Munich call the place "Stachus", with the most famous fountain in Munich.
Sendlinger Tor
The southern existing city gate from the old city wall from the 14th century. There we take the Sendlinger Straße, where it is possible to make a shopping stop and from there we go back to the old city center.
Viktualienmarkt
The Viktualienmarkt is the most famous food market all over Germany.
There you find Bavarian, German and international specialties with an incomparable atmosphere. In the middle, of course, a Bavarian inn / beer garden. You can choose if you want to have a traditional bavarian drink and food overthere or at our next checkpoint.
Hofbräuhaus
From 1806 it was the Royal Hofbräuhaus, which is now the most famous inn in the world. We will have a walk in and if you want, we can stay there to listen to the traditional bavarian live music every day.
Maximilianstraße
There you find high-priced luxury items and labels and this is why the Maximilianstraße is considered as one of the most famous shopping streets in Germany. Also if desired, a shopping stop can be made and we also can arrange appointments in advance.
Munich Residenz and Hofgarten
The Munich Residence is located in the middle of Munich's city center and is therefore considered the largest city palace in Germany and, with more than 150 exhibition rooms, one of the most important palace museums in Europe.
A visit can only be arranged through the Munich Residence, we can organize this for you if you are interested. You will need to allow around 90 minutes for this. We with our tour will have a walk through the famous Hofgarten with the popular Pavillion until we reach the Odeonsplatz.
Nationaltheater
The Bavarian State Opera is one of the best opera houses in the world. It also includes the Bavarian State Ballet and the Bavarian State Orchestra. The performances are often sold out well in advance. If you are intersted in getting tickets for the National Theater, don't hesitate to contact us.
Transfer to Nymphenburg Palace
The transfer takes about 25 minutes and then we are directly in front of the palace.
Nymphenburg Palace
Nymphenburg Palace is one of the largest palaces in Germany and one of the most important in Europe. It is an architectural monument in the Neuhausen-Nymphenburg district of the Bavarian capital Munich. It was the summer residence of the Electors and Kings of Bavaria from the House of Wittelsbach from 1715 to 1918. Together with the east-side traffic circle, the west-side park, four castles and numerous canals, the palace forms a unique architectural ensemble.
Nymphenburg Palace Park
Behind the palace we will have a walk around through the famous park with its royal monuments, little castles and the canals. We also can organise a gondola ride starting at the middle canal in the palace park which takes 30 Minutes.

Tip
* This tour is a leisurely walk of roughly 5.5km through the old city center of Munich including lunch consisting of white sausages (veal sausages) or similar and a drink.
* Then we take a transfer to Nymphenburg Palace, which takes about 25 minutes.
* There we visit the Nymphenburg Palace outside and see the castle park.
*If you would like to make a guided tour inside or gondola ride, please let us know, we can organise the tickets.
*It will also be possible that we will have a big walk through its parc behind which would take about another 5 km.

The gondola rides are offering between end of march and end of octpber.
By arrangement, the tour can also take place on Sundays, but please note that the shops are not open.
