Guided Day Trek to Triund from McLeod Ganj
Embark on a full-day hike into the Himalayan foothills, leading you to the stunning alpine meadow and viewpoint at Triund, just outside McLeod Ganj, Dharamshala. Your guide will meet you at the designated meeting point and accompany you on the three-to-four-hour trek through dense pine forests. After enjoying lunch (at your own expense) at Triund, you'll begin your descent back to town, with your guide ensuring your safety and keeping you on track throughout the journey.
Meeting Point
Main Square Mcleodganj Market/Gallu devi Temple
- There are two meetings point.. Either we can start from Main square Mcleodganj Market or Gallu devi Temple.
Ascending to Triund
From the meeting point, we'll transport you to the starting location of the hike at the scheduled pick-up time. You'll walk through a mixed forest of oak, rhododendron, and deodar trees, following a well-marked trail all the way up to Triund. The hike from McLeod Ganj involves a steep ascent, taking approximately 3 to 4 hours to reach the destination.
Take a break at a tea shop
Along the way, you'll find small tea shops offering refreshing snacks and drinks. Triund is an alpine meadow perched atop a flat ridge, offering spectacular views of the Dhauladhar peaks on one side and the Kangra Valley on the other.
Descending
After spending some quality time in the lap of the Himalayas, we'll begin our descent from Triund back to McLeod Ganj, retracing the same route. The tour concludes when you return to the original meeting point.
