Morning we pick you up from your hotel in Patna and get driven to Bodhgaya.
Bodhgaya tour
1. Maha Bodhi Temple Complex - This magnificent Mahabodhi Temple is listed under UNESCO World Heritage, marking the holy ground where Buddha attained enlightenment. Taking a stroll around the inside the temple compound, watching Tibetan monks praying endlessly is simply divine.
2. Bodhi Tree - This sacred fig tree graces the Earth where Buddha achieved enlightenment. The complex includes both the ancient shrines and modern structures built by Buddhist devotees.
3. 25m high Great Budhha Statue - This Japanese-style impressive statue cum monument was unveiled by the Dalai Lama in 1989 and is surrounded by 10 smaller sculptures of Buddha’s disciples. The statue is believed to be partially hollow and contain some 20,000 bronze Buddhas.
