Meeting Point
Rishikesh Hotel
- In the morning, we meet and greet you at your hotel, then drive for about 1 hour to reach Mahadev Chatti Dhar, the starting point of our trek.
Kotli Bhel - Mini Gartang Gali
We begin the hike from Mahadev Chatti Dhar, descending towards the Nandi Bridge—a scenic suspension bridge that takes us across the Ganges to the opposite side. From there, we continue a 4 km walk along the river, passing serene Ganga beaches and soaking in the peaceful atmosphere.
The trail is quiet and untouched, far from the hustle and bustle of the city, eventually leading us to a narrow cliffside path known as Mini Gartang Gali, and a hidden waterfall tucked away in nature's embrace.
Tea and Snacks
After visiting the waterfall and exploring the Kotli Bhel trail, we will take a relaxing break at a local tea shop, where you can enjoy a refreshing cup of chai and soak in the peaceful surroundings.
Walk back & Visit the ancient Shiva temple
After the tea break, we walk back to Nandi Bridge and continue our journey to visit the Mahadev Chatti Temple, a peaceful shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, nestled in the tranquil Himalayan foothills. Here, we spend time at the temple, engage in silent meditation, and have the unique opportunity to meet a saint who has been living here in solitude for over 35 years—a rare chance for a meaningful conversation with a Himalayan monk.
Continue the hike to Singtali ganga beach
We then continue walking through the quiet Vijaypur village, offering glimpses of simple Himalayan life, and make our way down to the scenic Singtali Beach along the Ganges—a peaceful stretch of sand, perfect for a short rest and soaking in the river’s serenity. From there, we cross the suspension bridge once more to return to the other side of the river, where our vehicle will be waiting to take us back.
Drive back to Hotel
After reaching the car, we board the vehicle and begin our drive back to the hotel, bringing this peaceful and scenic Himalayan day hike to a close.

Namaste! My name is Devesh, and I was born and raised in the spiritual town of Rishikesh, nestled on the banks of the sacred Ganga River. After completing my graduation here, I deepened my connection with our ancient heritage by studying the art of Yoga and Sanskrit at the Shri Jai Ram Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, located in the serene lap of the Ganga. Later change please: I can pick you up to Delhi if you drop me a request
With a deep love for my hometown and the Himalayas, I began working as a local tour guide in Rishikesh, sharing its hidden gems, spiritual heritage and natural beauty with travelers from around the world. Over time, I expanded into leading multi-day treks and tours across the Indian Himalayas, including Uttarakhand, Himachal, and beyond.
Meeting new people and showing them around my city is not just a profession—it’s a passion that brings me immense joy. Whether you're looking for a peaceful walk along the Ganga, a spiritual retreat, or a challenging Himalayan trek, I’d be honored to guide you through experiences that stay with you long after your journey ends.
