Visit City Palace: The biggest palace complex in Rajasthan is the grand City Palace towering above the lake. The major parts of the palace are now well-maintained as a museum with an enormous collection of glass, ceramic figures and small canvases.

Visit Jagdish Temple: The famous Jagdish Temple is situated 150 meters from the City Palace. This fine Indo-Aryan temple was constructed by Maharana Jagat Singh in 1651. The temple treasures a black stone image of Lord Vishnu as Jagannath, Lord of the Universe. A brass image of Garuda stands in a monument in front of the temple.

Visit Saheliyon Ki Bari: The Garden of the Maids of Honor is situated in the north of the city. It is a small exquisite garden with fountains, stone elephants and a beautiful lotus pond.

In the evening, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Pichola. The lake derives its name from Pichali village and is surrounded by hills, palaces, temples, bathing ghats and ridges. There are two island palaces on the lake: Jag Niwas and Jag Mandir. Jag Niwas was built as the summer residence of the Prince of Mewar and is now the famous Lake Palace hotel. Jag Mandir is built of red sandstone with a marble ceiling. An enchanting way to end your day in Udaipur is by taking a beautiful evening boat ride when the City Palace in the background unites with the sparkling lake water.

08:30 AM – Guided Sightseeing Tour

You will be picked up from the hotel for a guided sightseeing tour of Jaipur and Amber.

Visit Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds): Constructed by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799, Hawa Mahal is one of Jaipur’s main landmarks. The front of the Mahal has pink windows and latticework screens. It was constructed for the ladies of the imperial household to watch daily life and parades of the city.

Visit City Palace: The City Palace is still the dwelling of the former royalty H.H. Bhawani Singh Ji of Jaipur. The palace has an extensive collection of art, carpets and old weapons.

Visit Jantar Mantar (Observatory): Built by Maharaja Jai Singh in 1728. Though it appears to be a collection of sculptures, each construction has a detailed astronomical purpose such as measuring the positions of stars and calculating eclipses. The most striking instrument is the 27-meter-tall sundial.

Visit Amber Fort: Located 11 km from Jaipur, Amber was once the ancient capital. The fort is an excellent example of Rajput architecture, situated on a hillside facing a lake that reflects its walls and walkways.

Today, you will start your trip to Agra, the next stop on your Golden Triangle tour. En route, stop at Fatehpur Sikri for a guided tour.

Fatehpur Sikri: The deserted capital of Emperor Akbar, located about 35 km from Agra. Built in the 16th century and abandoned due to water scarcity. The entire city remains intact. The Buland Darwaza, 54 meters tall, was constructed in honor of Akbar’s victory in Gujarat.

After visiting Fatehpur Sikri, drive to Agra.

08:30 AM – Guided Sightseeing Tour

Agra is situated on the bank of the Yamuna River and was the capital of the Mughal Empire in the 16th and 17th centuries.

Visit Taj Mahal: One of the Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This white-marble mausoleum was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal in 1631. The construction took 22 years with over 20,000 artisans working day and night. The Taj Mahal will be the highlight of your Golden Triangle tour.

Visit Agra Fort: Built by Emperor Akbar in 1565 on the bank of the Yamuna River. Later expanded by Shah Jahan with more opulent accommodations. Important buildings include Samman Burj, Moti Masjid, Diwan-e-Am, Diwan-e-Khas, Jahangir’s Palace, Khaas Mahal and Shish Mahal.
