Manish didn’t just show us around Udaipur, he gave us a masterclass in the city’s history. As someone not particularly familiar with Hinduism, I found his explanations both accessible and insightful, offering a solid foundation for understanding its core ideas. One historical highlight was his account of the Mughal–Mewar wars, when Akbar enlisted local rajas to fight on his behalf. Manish described a tactic in which soldiers placed elephant masks on horses so that war elephants would mistake them for calves and refuse to attack. It’s these kinds of surprising details that made the tour unforgettable. If you’re looking for a guide who truly knows his stuff and can make history come alive, Manish is your guy. Highly recommend!

Akram was a wonderful multi-city tour guide in India. He made everything so easy for us and was very perceptive about identifying the activities that we preferred to do. He is extremely knowledgeable about the local culture and history and has lots of fun stories to add color to the experience. He even helped us plan our activities in other cities even though we won’t be traveling with him because he is so knowledgeable and experienced in guiding in all of India.
