I've lived in Dublin city centre and its suburbs all my life, and the history of Dublin along with its stories continues to surprise me, even to someone who lives here. Since I've started giving guided tours I've found it to be a lot of fun, and very rewarding to see visitors really engage with the real Dublin City. These are the streets of countless struggles for freedom, laughter, pain, joy, as well as Bono, James Joyce, Oscar Wilde, Sinead O'Connor and Arthur Guinness. . . I get distracted with stories, so you might have to remind me from time to time!, and I like to make sure that anyone who books onto my tours have the best of times! As a long time musician, who's spent a lot of time with other Irish musicians, I've also got no shortage of insights into the heart of Irish music and folklore - it's a lovely world to occupy. I also have a very special relationship with Dublin's Ha'Penny Bridge, remind me to tell you about this, you won't find the answer on Google! Dublin is an old city, but it's not a museum, it's also a brand new city - this is the same throughout all of Ireland - and I enjoy showing visitors how these worlds live side by side, so you can have fun while enjoying the city at the same time!

Hello, and welcome to my tours page. I have been a licensed tour guide since the eighties, initially working as a tour director on coaches for Ireland's largest incoming tour operator. I started my private luxury car tours after two decades as a tour director. I love sharing the passion and knowledge I have accumulated with visitors today. I travelled a lot in my youth and lived in France for 12 years, where I worked initially for American Airlines and later as a city tour guide. I am bilingual in French. I also spent two years in Italy, both in Rome and Sorrento. I no longer speak Italian, but I can understand it and absolutely love listening to it. I like to read, walk my dogs, and play bridge in my spare time. I operate all the classic tours but can customise each to your interests. I am a recent graduate in genealogy from University College Cork, so I can put you in the right direction as to where to find the necessary records if you're researching your Irish ancestry. I have been working as a cycling and walking tour guide in the Burren in County Clare for more than 20 years. My tours are immersive experiences, where we explore everything the location has to offer: history, archaeology, geology, folklore, flora and fauna. I am fully certified in First Aid, and have public liability insurance to cover cycling and walking tours. I am also a golfer, and a member of Lahinch Golf Club, so can advise on the best courses to play while you are in Ireland.

“Great Tour with Even Greater Guide”
We had the best time with Brendan on our tour of Dublin! As a native to Dublin, he had some of the best insights to all of the history, odd facts and pointers throughout the city! He was incredibly kind, fun and provided us with one of the best tours we had while in the country! HIGHLY recommend booking him and taking all his recommendations for local pubs and restaurants!!!

“Highly Recommend!”
We had an amazing time on this tour from start to finish. Terry and Dermot were incredibly fun, entertaining, and knowledgeable, making the entire experience both enjoyable and informative. They shared interesting stories, local history, and little-known facts that kept everyone engaged the whole time. The pace of the tour was perfect, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions, take photos, and really soak in the experience. We would highly recommend this tour - definitely one of the highlights of our trip!

“Fun Castle Tour”
We did the Private Castles Tour with Gillian (who works with Terry). She has a great sense of humor and is very knowledgeable on Irish history. We visited three castles in a day and enjoyed the experience. Would tour again!
