This full day tour takes in some of the beautiful sites and scenery of County Wicklow known as " The garden of Ireland" Highlights include Powerscourt House and Gardens and the ancient monastic site of Glendalough dating back to the 6th century AD.

Depart from your Dublin base at around 9.30am and drive southwards towards Co. Wicklow arriving at the picturesque village of Enniskerry location of Powerscourt Estate at about 10.45am.
Powerscourt Estate and Gardens - Wicklow
We shall spend about two hours exploring the wonderful Powerscourt Estate and Gardens. Completed in 1741 Powerscourt Estate House is a real Gem. Its adjoining gardens are highly regarded and have been voted No. 3 in The National Geographic`s Top 10 World Gardens. The house also contains numerous high quality shops including an Avoca store and café with spectacular views of the gardens and the Sugar Loaf Mountain beyond.
Lough Tay - Wicklow
After finishing at Powerscourt we shall continue our journey through the Wicklow Mountains towards Glendalough making a quick stop for a photo op and to take in the spectacular views of the glacial Lough Tay or "Guinness Lake" as it is referred to. We will then travel onwards to Glendalough.
Glendalough - Wicklow
Upon arriving in Glendalough we shall stop for lunch in the village of Laragh before continuing. The monastic settlement of Glendalough was founded in the 6th century by Saint Kevin. We shall spend the rest of our day connecting with the history of the ruins of the monastic city and taking in the views of this beautiful valley and of the upper lake. Once we have said goodbye to Glendalough we shall make our way back to Dublin via the M11/N11 motorway arriving in the City about 4.30pm.
