San Lorenzo: The Medici neighborhood
This is the neighborhood where the family lived and built their palace in the 1400, here there is the San Lorenzo church, the family church) and the biggest food market of Florence. We'll go into the market to see the typical dishes of the Florentine cuisine
Piazza del duomo
The square is the religious centre of Florence with it magnificent Cathedral of Santa Maria del fiore and the baptistery of S. John the baptist
Medieval area
We'll walk through the narrow medieval alleys and see the typical houses of the Middle Ages: the towers

The square is since the Middle Ages the political centre of Florence.
The Palace that stands in the middle of the square in the Palace of government since the Middle Ages and today houses the city hall of Florence
Ponte vecchio (the Old bridge)
Ponte vecchio is the oldest bridge of Florence.
A very particular one, because on the top of it there are shops, very particular shops, and in fact it is known as the bridge of goldsmiths since all the shops sell jewels and gold

We will have a break for lunch, we are going to taste a very typical Florentine meal!
Uffizi gallery
We'll spend the rest of the afternoon visiting the Uffizi Gallery, one of the most important museums in the world that houses the largest collection of renaissance paintings int he world.
Here we'll see the most important paintings of that time such as The birth of Venus and the Spring by Botticelli, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael and much more
