Two thousand years ago, Herculaneum was the best choice for a nobleman looking for a peaceful and enchanting place to enjoy a holiday at the foot of Mount Vesuvius.
With its sumptuous villas that overlooked the sea, terraces and gardens with colorful flowers where one could read a book and seek solace from the busy winter, it boasted an elegant theatre for live performance, a big gymnasium surrounded by marble columns, magnificent bath houses and bronze statues. Herculaneum was a delight.

I've been a tour guide for 8 years, I graduated at the University of Naples Federico II in Archaeology and History of Art in 2015, then I passed the exam to get the licence as a guide, I love my region and my job !
“Roberta is an amazing tour guide!”
I booked two tours with Roberta and I am so glad I did because she is one of the most amazing tour guides out there!! The two tours were definitely the highlights of our vacation and we could not have learned everything we did without her. Not only is she very knowledgeable about Italian history but she also went above and beyond connecting with people from the two small towns outside of Naples, where my family was originally from, as these are not her normal tour areas. She spent time researching and even contacted people who knew my family members years ago giving the tours such a personal touch. I am beyond grateful Roberta had the time to take our family around and share Italy's history with us. You can tell she has an incredible passion for what she does and I would recommend anyone who is looking for a tour guide to choose Roberta! Thank you!!!
