K-drama tour: Reply Seoul 1988
Many visitors to Korea have enjoyed its modern cities and traditional culture. But to understand how Korea became what it is today, we need to look back at the 1980s. Let's visit the filming locations of [Reply 1988], a popular K-drama loved by people in Korea and around the world. You can travel back in time and experience the everyday life of Seoul in the ’80s.

Meeting Point
At the guest's hotel lobby
National Folk Museum of Korea
7080 Street of Memories recreates a Korean neighborhood from the ’70s and ’80s. Let's wander through nostalgic alleyways filled with old-fashioned shops, and experience a glimpse of everyday Korean life from a bygone era.
Restaurant Hyehwa Kalguksu for lunch
Hyehwa Kalguksu is where a couple, Dongil and Ilwha ate kalguksu in the drama. Kalguksu means “knife-cut noodles” because the dough is cut with a knife. In the past, when people didn't have much money, it was a popular and affordable meal. Let's enjoy a warm bowl of kalguksu at one of Seoul's beloved local restaurants.
Bakery Taegukdang
Taegukdang is where a couple, Sunwoo and Bora had Vienna coffee, a popular drink back then, in the drama. Let's try the signature monaka ice cream for dessert.
Cafe Banjul
Banjul inspired the cafe where a couple, Jungbong and Miok met in the drama. Let's enjoy a cup of coffee in this cafe with an ’80s vibe and think back to our own first loves.
Yonsei University
[Reply 1994] came out before [Reply 1988], and Yonsei University is the main setting of [Reply 1994]. Let's explore the campus where the main characters studied and take a trip back to our school days.
The Choi Kyuhah Presidential Residence
The Choi Kyuhah Presidential Residence was the actual home of a former Korean president. In the drama, it was used as Dongryong's house. Let's take a look inside a typical Seoul home from the 1980s.

“Kean Park Guide ”
My girlfriends and I took a tour of seonsudong with Kean. He was very personable, engaging and knowledgeable about Korean Culture and History. We would highly recommend him! We hope to be back next year and will definitely hire him again. His command of the English language was impressive.

Carin and her friends were so lovely and thoughtful, and they were very interested in Korean culture. I’ll never forget sharing pork belly and Korean cocktail for dinner with them. Any guide would be lucky to have them on a tour ^^

“Great way to see Seoul.”
Be prepared for a lot of wallking( about14km with some steep hills) but if you are up for it Kean is a great guide and takes you to all the places in Seoul you want to see. You could not do this on your own in 1 day.

“Fantastic Experience with a great guide”
Kean was very responsive when we were setting up our proposed itinerary and met all of our goals. He was super informative and very entertaining. He knew all of the great photo stops along our itinerary and made sure we were comfortable utilizing the Seoul subway system before he departed. I would highly recommend him in the future. I will be recommending him to all of my friends in Canada. We cannot say enough about our experience.

I’ve never met two couples as lovely as them. They were kind, thoughtful, and had a great sense of humor. When we said goodbye, they even gave me a gift they had brought from Canada, which truly touched me. It was an absolute honor to tour with them.
