Perdicaris
The Perdicaris Park, also known as the Rmilat Forest is a public park covering 70 hectares in the Rmilat neighborhood. It is located on the northern slopes of the Jebel Kebir hill facing the Strait of Gibraltar, between the Cape Spartel reserve to its west and the Jebel Kebir Royal Palace to its east. It is named after Greek-American notable Ion Hanford Perdicaris, who created it in the 1870s and was kidnapped there in the mid-1904 Perdicaris Incident.
Cap Spartel
Cape Spartel is frequently referred to as the northernmost point of Africa. Renovation of the site started in 2020 and completed in 2021. It is now open to the public and includes a maritime museum, restaurant and botanical garden. Visitors can also access the top of the lighthouse to enjoy the stunning view of the strait of Gibraltar.
Hercules Cave
The Caves of Hercules is an archaeological cave complex. The cave has two openings, one to the sea and one to land. The sea opening is known as "The Map of Africa." It is believed that the Phoenicians created the sea opening
The cave itself is part natural and part man-made. The man-made part was used by Berber people to cut stone wheels from the walls, to make millstones, thus expanding the cave considerably.
Kasbah
The Kasbah Palace is a historical building or citadel. has long been the main seat of political power in Tangier. The current structure was built in the early 18th century as the residence of the city's governor and home for the Sultan of Morocco when staying in the city, for example Hassan I in 1889. It has been repurposed as a museum since 1922
Old Medina
The medina, the top attraction of Tangier, is a labyrinth of alleyways both commercial and residential. It's contained by the walls of a 15th-century Portuguese fortress, although most buildings are actually relatively new for a Moroccan medina. The place is full of travellers' treasures and offers glimpses of traditional living
Markets
Handicraft souks in Morocco are more than markets; they are cultural landmarks. These markets are a reflection of Morocco’s rich artisanal heritage. When you stroll through a souk, you aren’t just shopping. You are diving into Morocco’s history and soul.
You will find every kind of traditional craft here. Leather goods, intricately woven carpets, delicate ceramics, and stunning silver jewelry all await you. In these souks, Moroccan artisans craft every piece by hand, using techniques passed down through generations.
