Khokana
Explore Traditional Village Khokana, one of the most ancient Newari villages that was once a thriving economic hub. Observe traditional Newari houses, Hindu and Buddhist shrines, acres of paddy fields, and visit the shrine of goddess Rudrayani, the patron goddess of Khokana, located at the village center. Witness the traditional mustard oil production process and visit an ancient oil mill that is still in use.
Bungamati
Visit Bungamati, known as the home of the valley’s Rain God, Machhindranath. Admire the temple built in a shikara style, surrounded by traditional homes of the villagers.
