Arima-Rokko One-day Pass (￥ 2,360 ) covers all the transportation fee plus the entrance fee for a bath house, Kin no Yu ( the Golden Hot Spring ).  I recommend you apply for this tour in spring and late fall.  Fresh green and autumn foliage in Mt. Rokko are spectacular at this time of the year.

Heading up the mountain from Sannomiya will take you to Kitano Ijinkan or Kitanocho's hillside.  After the opening of the Port of Kobe in 1868,  non-Japanese built their residences in Kitano-cho's elevated area at the foot of  Mt.Rokko.
The symbol of Kitano-cho's elevated area is the weather cock house that a German trade merchant built.  And I take you to Moegi House, or the former US general consul.  Many of the foreign residences are now open to the public as museums.

Kobe is especially famous for its beef because Kobe Beef is a high quality, delicious beef.  There are many Kobe beef restaurants around the Kitano-cho area. Of course I can show you a popular Kobe beef restaurant. 
If you want to have Chinese food, I can take you to a good Chjinese restaurant in China town Nankin-cho. 

Kobe is also popularly known as Nada-no-Kiippon,  Japanese sake brand.  You can watch the video about how to make sake and enjoy sake tasting  in Hakutsuru sake brewery caompany.  

In Meriken Park, the city's landmark, the red Port Tower creates a beautiful contrast against the white Kobe Marine Museum, which was designed inspired by waves and sailing ships.
