Jason N.

Hello I'm Jason from Dublin and I specialise in private tours to small groups and families in Dublin & throughout Ireland. Each tour is bespoke and tailored to your needs. My passion is showcasing Ireland and the beauty that is around every corner. I have studied history of Ireland and received a diploma in Irish History Studies and Tourism Ireland.

Brendan K.

Hi there. I'm Brendan. I am a native Dubliner. I was born here many years ago and spent all my life living and working all over the city. I love food, music, sport, history, politics and of course, the odd pint of Guinness. I retired in 2019 after a 40 year career in the technology industry, working for some of the biggest global names in the business. Because of my passion for all things historical my dream had always been to become a tour guide and I qualified as a official guide in August 2020. I have been taking my guests on journeys around the city since then. I love the idea that when someone tours with me they learn in a fun way about the very long history of Ireland and its people. They also see lots of places and things which I hope I bring to life for them as we stop for a while and discover the many stories to be told about this ancient city. With me you will learn about how Dublin has changed from the time of the Vikings to the time of Google. There are lots of funny stories to be told about that long period of time – I can assure you of that. So – if you are visiting Dublin please consider me as your guide. I am sure that if you choose me we will have some fun and interesting hours together as we walk the streets once used by the Vikings and the Normans and now the home of modern day Irish folk.

Anthony K.

Hi I'm Anthony , a local tour guide native to Dublin. I've six years experience as a Tour Guide and Manager. I specialise in Walking Tours of Dublin, the fair city. It's a beautiful bustling town full of stories and I want to show you the real Dublin and it's hidden histories. In my free time, I write short stories and paint, I take photos and have won several prizes.

Dermot L.

I've lived in Dublin city centre and its suburbs all my life, and the history of Dublin along with its stories continues to surprise me, even to someone who lives here. Since I've started giving guided tours I've found it to be a lot of fun, and very rewarding to see visitors really engage with the real Dublin City. These are the streets of countless struggles for freedom, laughter, pain, joy, as well as Bono, James Joyce, Oscar Wilde, Sinead O'Connor and Arthur Guinness. . . I get distracted with stories, so you might have to remind me from time to time!, and I like to make sure that anyone who books onto my tours have the best of times! As a long time musician, who's spent a lot of time with other Irish musicians, I've also got no shortage of insights into the heart of Irish music and folklore - it's a lovely world to occupy. I also have a very special relationship with Dublin's Ha'Penny Bridge, remind me to tell you about this, you won't find the answer on Google! Dublin is an old city, but it's not a museum, it's also a brand new city - this is the same throughout all of Ireland - and I enjoy showing visitors how these worlds live side by side, so you can have fun while enjoying the city at the same time!

Terry L.

Hello and welcome! My name is Terry, and I offer private, tailor-made tours in some of Ireland’s most iconic and beautiful locations — including Dublin, Wicklow, Glendalough, and Newgrange. With years of guiding experience and a deep love for Ireland’s rich history, landscape, and culture, I create personalised experiences that match your interests and pace. Whether you're looking to explore the historic streets of Dublin, wander through the stunning valleys of Glendalough, take in the scenic beauty of the Wicklow Mountains, or step back in time at the ancient passage tombs of Newgrange, I’ll make sure your tour is relaxed, informative, and truly memorable. I pride myself on offering a friendly, flexible service that goes beyond the typical tourist experience — sharing local stories, hidden gems, and a few laughs along the way. If you're looking for an authentic Irish adventure with a knowledgeable local guide, I’d be delighted to show you around.

Gráinne L.

Located in the beautiful surrounds of Dublin, we celebrate the origin stories of Irish dishes, drinks and spirits through storytelling which allows us to make the experience even richer for our guests! By celebrating these stories, we not only highlight the history of Irish food but also give visitors a deeper appreciation of the tradition and craftsmanship behind each dish and drink. It’s like connecting the past with the present, especially as you explore Ireland’s emerging food scene. Did you know that Ireland is undergoing a food revolution and a whiskey renaissance? The focus on emerging food trends is also exciting because it shows how Ireland is evolving while still staying true to its culinary roots. It’s great to see how modern Irish chefs and distillers are shaping the future of Irish cuisine and drink, all while staying connected to the country’s cultural heritage. Taste Ireland - it’s about connecting with the heart of Irish food and drink in a way that goes beyond just tasting. By diving into the produce and meeting the locals, you're gaining a deeper understanding of not just what’s on your plate or in your glass, but the stories, traditions, and people behind it all. And of course, "having the craic" is an essential part of any Irish experience! The combination of great food, good company, lively conversation and storytelling is what makes the whole experience so memorable. It's all about immersion—not just in the food, but in the culture, the fun, the spirit and the heart of the place.

Dairine N.

I have been guiding since 2010 and have my own limousine. I offer walking tours, driving tours, specialist tours and front of coach tours. There are two tours offered on this site: you can have a full day out in County Wicklow, visiting Powerscourt Gardens, driving through County Wicklow National Park, and exploring Glendalough - the valley of two lakes. We can incorporate a hike into the day, should you wish. I also offer walking tours of Dublin city. I worked in the property business here for many years, and then later in the political world, so I am very familiar with the city and it's history. Many of the main attractions are close to one another, so a walking tour is a great way to explore. My tour aims to give you an overview of our history, and we can dip into the galleries and museum to see some of the highlights. We can pack a lot into four hours!!

Dave K.

I have been guiding in Dublin for the last 4 years, I own and operate a walking tour business here in Dublin, my passion is history and culture and showcasing Dublin's great landmarks and buildings, I am a people person with the gift of the gab and I love what I do. I would very much look forward to meeting with you.

Ann T.

Hi ! My name is Ann and I am very proud to say that my hometown is Dublin. Like most of the Irish I have what we call the gift of the gab .. I love to chat with people and that combined with the experience of cooking a meal together and meeting other visitors from all over the world makes this a different type of evening ! It's not fancy complicated food, I use the best of Irish ingredients and traditional recipes and you will take home my little recipe book so you can recreate the meal for your friends and family ! As well as years experience in the Irish hospitality and catering I am also a qualified tour guide so I am always happy to advise you on where to go and what to do while you are in Ireland. It would be really great to meet you and welcome you to my home for a unique Irish experience.

Caitlin W.

Hi, I'm Caitlin - a native of Tipperary living and working in Dublin for the past 10 years. I am a historian and postdoctoral researcher based in Dublin offering tours of the city focusing on the modern period - approximately the last 250 years. My particular areas of interest are social history and the revolutionary period. I have over 10 years of experience working within the tourism industry, with experience creating and delivering tours at the Abbey Theatre, the National Museum of Ireland, the 1916 Walking Tour, and Glasnevin Cemetery, and as a freelance tour guide with companies such as Peter Somers Travel. I have curated exhibitions on Irish history and Irish life for Clerys and the National Archives of Ireland, and regularly present at conferences on Irish history. I completed my PhD in Public History at Trinity College, Dublin, where I studied how history was used to create different identities in the two Irish states after partition. I chose to study public history because I am really passionate about connecting the public with the history all around us and engaging them with it in their everyday life. I have been published in both popular and academic presses in Irish history, and am a regular contributor to podcasts, radio shows, and documentaries. I love engaging people with history and if you want to learn about Dublin, the history that shaped it, and how it continues to impact the present day then send me a message. Please tell me a little about your trip, what your particular interests are, and your availability. Please note walking tours are approximately 2 hours.

I've been living in Dublin for 30 years, and I've worked as National Tour Guide for 6 years. My customers are mainly Japanese but I can guide visitors of other nationalities as far as they speak English. I worked as an English teacher in Japan. I came to UK on a career break under the Cultural Exchange Programme. During the period I visited a friend in Dublin. I liked, decided to stay in Dublin, and consequently met my husband. I have been living in Dublin for 30 years. As well as business people, many of my friends visited me from Japan. I showed them around in Ireland many times, and enjoyed it very much, which made me to decide to become a Tour Guide.
