Born in Segovia. I am an official tour guide of Castille and Leon, mainly in Segovia and surrounding villages. Everytime I happen to walk in Segovia I feel like a tourist, yet with the knowledge of history of every corner of the city. It's easy to fall in love with Segovia being a World Heritage Site, having one of the most impressive Roman Aqueducts, a generous number of Romanesque churches, the last Gothic-style Spanish Cathedral and the Alcázar and much much more to discover. On top of I really enrich myself exchanging knowledge with different cultures, which I believe it makes the visit more joyful and interesting.

Hello! My name is Manu. I am master architect, master in Historical Construction Techniques and licenced guide. I studied architecture in Granada and during the degree I also worked as urban photography teacher and editor in an arts magazine. I finished in 2015 and I did an internship in Yokohama National University in Japan. After that I worked for the structures department of the University of Castilla La Mancha, where I did some restorations and started working with heritage architecture. In 2018 I started my own architecture studio and got an official guiding licence. When I left my hometown Düsseldorf in 1999 to move to Barcelona, the Catalan capital was rather a polluted, shady and even dangerous industrial site than the trendy and cosmopolitan tourist destination it is nowadays. I came into town as a photographer and event manager and despite of Barcelona's guff post-industrial charm I was instantly overwhelmed by the creativity and passion of its people, their way of seeing things and to live their lives. My core business are private day tours from Barcelona to destinations like Girona, Tarragona, Sitges, Vic, Besalú or areas like Costa Brava, Penedés or Priorat. My mission is to leave the beaten path and to make my customers discover unique historical sites, beautiful landscapes, vibrant street life and amazing food and wine experiences. For the tour we use a comfy, private SUV that fits 4 passengers + driver / guide. The tours can be done in English, Spanish, French and German and they can generally be customised to meet the interests and needs of the group at any time. During the tour you get an idea of the long and diverse history of the sites, local traditions s.a. insights about lifestyle, culture and social concerns.

I'm a licensed tour guide for Andalucia and I love my job. I own a minivan for six passengers (Mercedes-Benz V Class) and I do day trips and tours in a radio of two hours around my hometown. After 10 years working as a guide the most of the tours I do are private tours and I love this type of tours because allow me to be in touch with travellers who really want to enjoy the experience of discovering a destination by the hand of a local guide.
