It took me some 20 years to be qualified for this job and I feel honored for being able to help tourists from abroad understand our nation and culture. Japan is a beautiful country with a long history, tradition and rich cultural heritages, having various features in each of the four distinct seasons. Although there are now many visitors from abroad, mainly from Asian countries, they are mostly interested in shopping taking advantage of cheaper yen rather than understanding our people and culture. Kyoto and Nara are the two cities best known by foreign tourists, but not all the aspects of Japanese culture are concentrated there. If you visit the countryside other than these two cities, you will never fail to see the beautiful natural surroundings and people who will warmly welcome you. I wish to work as the bridge between Japanese people and tourists from all over the world.

I used to teach Japanese cultures to elementary students from Kindergarten to Grade 6 at local and private elementary schools when I lived in Canada, United states, and New Zealand. My happiest moments with these children were when they look forward to another lesson every week. All lessons were customized and prepared after discussing with each classroom teacher. It was a challenging job, but this experience broaden my horizon and prompted me to become an English tour guide. My main tour area are Tokyo, Kamakura, Yokohama, Hakone, Mt. Fuji, Gunma and Nikko. It's a private personalized tour so that I'd be happy to discuss about it with you in advance to make your tour pleasant. We can include Japanese cultural experiences if you'd like. I also have done virtual experience on Amazon and company events during the last 3 years pandemic. I took the plunge, it was definitely a great step and enhanced my guiding skills. I have a license of Registered Nurse and a Medical interpreter. I've still worked as a nurse during the off- tourism season so that I've kept a medical back ground. I've experienced to do several tours for mobility challenged clients who have intractable disease and have a difficulty for a long walking.
