(or Apulia if you prefer…) My name is Fabio, I am an experienced licensed tourist guide of Apulia and among the other things I also graduated in Foreign Languages (English and French) at the University of Salento. I have been giving tours since 2002 to English and French speaking clients from all over the world. I love travelling all over the world especially in the USA where I also lived for awhile. I visited most of the main European capitals and the main Italian cities of course... That was, is and hope will be... during my spare time...indeed I also worked as an employee at the Lecce Municipality tourist info point for 17 years which has given me a wide perspective of my region from both an institutional and a touristic point of view… I have been usually involved in giving Institutional tours to Representatives (Ministers, Ambassadors and so on) during their official visits and in giving shore , private, customized and small group tours. I work mainly in the south-center part of the region, which comprises the Salento and Itria valley areas, providing tours of LECCE, OTRANTO, LEUCA, GALLIPOLI, GALATINA, OSTUNI, ALBEROBELLO, POLIGNANO, LOCOROTONDO, CISTERNINO, BRINDISI and other beautiful smaller villages in the same area. Half day, full day, multi days, landscape, food and wine and customized tours are provided according to your needs and tastes. I am in love with this area and during tours I strive to transmit that same love and passion to my clients. This part of Apulia is mostly sea, sun, sights, traditions and TASTY MEDITERRANEAN FOOD!!! Then, the question is "What are you waiting for…???!!!" Come and visit this part of Italy with me… I will help you visit the main attractions, to learn our history , culture and most of all to immerse yourself in our traditions living what locals live and eating what locals eat. I like giving my clients a vision of Apulia from a local guy point of view including also workshops, food and wine tastings and farmhouse's experiences during my services. I sold my business 15 years ago and my wife and I decided to relocate to Charleston, SC. We had visited several times and were immediately struck with the beauty and charm of the wonderful city. But just as important we were so impressed with the friendliness of the people here. After serving on several community and charity boards I decided to become a licensed city guide and passed the rather rigorous exam. I then designed my tours to give people a comprehensive knowledge of the history of the city as well as what it’s like living here today. My walking tour is of the Charlestonwne neighborhood, located at the very southern tip of the peninsula. It includes 8 of the 10 largest homes on Charleston, the original walled city, White Point Gardens, rainbow row, the high battery and several wonderful old churches and museum homes. I love meeting new people and telling them the story of this great city and I’m the preferred guide for many of Charleston’s finest hotels. I am a tour guide and freelancer with a major in history from Zadar, Croatia. I am born in Zadar but moved to Korčula and stayed there from age 3-14. Then I moved to Split during high school. By the end of High school, I started learning Web Design in HTML. CSS and Java Script and made my first web page I returned to Zadar when I enrolled at University. I have a major in history. During study, I worked various jobs and learn graphic design which I did as a freelancer and also started learning 3d modeling. My thesis was Migration from Dalmatia in 1860. until 1918. I am interested mostly in social history, modern history, and migrations. I am learning Spanish and German in my free time because interest in exploring Latin America and Croatian communities in that area which was part of the research in my thesis. I worked in high school as a history teacher. I have some experience of working with people from many countries as I am renting rooms as a part of my house. I am also hosting people with Couchsurfing and Warmshowers. Currently, I am the most popular host on both platforms in Zadar. I have a certificate to work as a tour guide in Zadar county and a tour operator in the whole of Croatia from 2020. As a freelancer, I mostly worked with web and graphic design and recently 3d modeling. From September 2021 I have a certificate as Unity Programmer and Level Designer in Game and App Development. Currently I have two games published on Android and two on PC. Also I am travelling outside Croatia almost every year since I was 19 mostly by attending music festivals.
