About

Hello,

I'm Kouhei, a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter.

I'm originally from Tokyo, but since I love outdoor activities and want to live in a place surrounded by abundant nature, I moved to here in Nagano 4 years ago.

I traveled a lot of places in Japan and eventually decided to live in Nagano.

Nagano prefecture is sometimes described as "a roof of Japan" since most of its part are covered with high mountain range.

Because of that, the area gets lots of snow every winter.

It makes the place's nature and culture different from other areas in Japan.

I am also a Mountain Hiking and Cycling Guide as well as English translator guide..

I want to guide you to super beautiful yet lesser known places!

I am very flexible, so please let me know your requests for the guided tour.

Let's explore the "Hidden Gem" of Japan together :)

(for example) Walking Tour : Matsumoto Castle, Zenkoji Temple, Togakushi Shrine, Obuse Town, etc

Mountain Hiking: Beginners to Intermediates (Northern Alps, Yatsugatake, etc)

Cycling Tours : Beginners to Intermediates (North Nagano Area), E Bikes tour available.

Other Specials :Snow Monkey, Picking Wild Vegetables and Cooking Tempura together,

Night Cherry Blossom Viewing, Visiting Sake Winery, Snow Shoeing in

National Park, etc

Lots of Cheeky Laughters

My family and myself had an amazing tour to tokagushi shrine and monkey forest guided by Kouhei. We had a child and a 6 years old. Kouhei is naturally hands on with kids. Genuinely patient, constantly caring, followed through our breaks, slow walks, made handful conversations with everyone of us and of course. snowball fights. Kouhei is well versed in English and he explained thoroughly well on all the places we visited. Recommended us an amazing soba restaurant for lunch (He also did an extra mile by booking us a dinner place) Shared us a lot of his experiences. In definite, we’ll be back for more extreme sports. Thank you kouhei for sharing us, your great personality and presence. We must say, you’re a natural and we’ll love to host you in Malaysia. See you soon for another great tour!

Hi Vanessa, Thank you so much for choosing me as a guide in Nagano. It was great to see you and your family! I also enjoyed the day a lot. I really appreciated you and your family's friendly, generous, and warm-hearted personalities. And it was great to talk to and play with your niece :) They are so cute and snowball fight was fun :) I wish you and your family are enjoying the rest of your trip in Japan. I hope to see you soon either in Malaysia or in Japan. Thank you!!

Great fun with family

We had a great day out in the snow with sightseeing and snowshoeing. Good fun that needs a lot of energy. We would like to rate Kouhei a 6-star out of 5 review as he did an outstanding job for organising our group of 7 with a joyful and good pace tour. Excellent English and easy communications. Highly recommended.

A fantastic day in snowy Nagano

We had a great time with Kouhei as our guide. Our family visited the snow monkey park, Togakushi Jinja, Zenkoji, Obuse Town and Hokusai museum. Kouhei was enthusiastic, extremely knowledgeable and made it a a day to remember. One of the highlights of our trip!
