When I left my hometown Düsseldorf in 1999 to move to Barcelona, the Catalan capital was rather a polluted, shady and even dangerous industrial site than the trendy and cosmopolitan tourist destination it is nowadays. I came into town as a photographer and event manager and despite of Barcelona's guff post-industrial charm I was instantly overwhelmed by the creativity and passion of its people, their way of seeing things and to live their lives. With the time I got more and more attracted by tourism and achieved work experience as a property manager and travel consultor. Finally, I launched my own little travel consultancy in 2016 and since that I am offering luxury accommodations, DMC / concierge services and a wide range of day tours and group activities. My core business are private day tours from Barcelona to destinations like Girona, Tarragona, Sitges, Vic, Besalú or areas like Costa Brava, Penedés or Priorat. My mission is to leave the beaten path and to make my customers discover unique historical sites, beautiful landscapes, vibrant street life and amazing food and wine experiences. For the tour we use a comfy, private SUV that fits 4 passengers + driver / guide. The tours can be done in English, Spanish, French and German and they can generally be customised to meet the interests and needs of the group at any time. During the tour you get an idea of the long and diverse history of the sites, local traditions s.a. insights about lifestyle, culture and social concerns.

Merhaba(Turkish) First of all, welcome to my profile. I don't want to keep it too long and bore you, as I believe my life story will be much more interesting the day we embark on a tour together :) I was born in Kuwait and lived there for many years. After completing my education at an Indian school, my family and I permanently moved to Türkiye in 2003. After completing high school and university in Turkiye, I began my career as a Police Officer. While working as a Tourism Police officer, I discovered my passion for traveling. In 2018, I took the initiative to resign and ventured into the path of becoming a Tourist Guide. I have traveled to more than 15 countries and still love exploring. I believe traveling is the best investment one can make in themselves. I am fluent in English and Arabic. I believe that living abroad and studying in a foreign school are crucial factors for communication with people of different languages, religions, and races. Looking forward to meeting you on tours soon. Best wishes, Sedat

I had moved 2 times within Hokuriku region in my childhood for my fathers job. I've been living in Ishikawa for 16 years in total.(4years in my childhood and 12years since I married. ) I have a family of 4. I'm raising 2boys and have 2dogs. I love animals, nature, music, photos, camping, and good food. So if you feel that I might have a similar taste with you, my tour will bring you a satisfied explore. Here in Kanazawa, tourists have been increasing in number since the opening of Hokuriku Shinkansen in 2015. Many of foreign tourists are walking around throughout the city holding their smartphone by hand. Every time I see those people, I felt that I might be able to do something which make their trip more memorable. This is the reason why I took the license of Kanazawa Visitor's Host and started a local tour guide. Although I've just started as a tour guide in 2018,I sincerely enjoy making a personalized plan that every single guest would be able to make the day here in Kanazawa perfectly. I have ever lived in Toyama, Fukui, Ishikawa, Chiba, Tokyo (Japan),and Toronto (Canada). Hello, potential tourists! I'm Yuko, Yokohama local tour guide with English government license. I have been living in Yokohama for 40 years, and have been working in Tokyo for 35 years; 20 years as a business person,10 years as a teacher, then I became a tour guide in 2015. Yokohama is a major port city, and the 2nd largest city in Japan. It is one of the most popular sightseeing spots for Japanese tourists as well. However, for non-Japanese guests who are to experience things unique to Japan, without a tour guide, it could not be so stimulating, - a beautiful harbor, traditional garden, fashionable shopping mall, which could be likely to appear not so different from Tokyo, or other Western or Asian port cities. Actually, Yokohama is very special for Japan ! Without Yokohama, Japan would not have been developed into what it is now! Would you find real attraction of Yokohama with me ? Also I'm familiar with Tokyo, an urban city and Kamakura, an ancient city. See you in Yokohama, Japan!

Hi, I’m Kaz, a tour guide from Kyoto. I was born and raised here, studied in Osaka, and became fluent in English after studying abroad in Canada. Living in Canada taught me how fun and meaningful it is to discover different cultures and ways of thinking. Kyoto is my hometown, and of course it’s beautiful—but I think it becomes even more special when we notice the differences between cultures. Seeing things from different perspectives always makes me feel amazed and curious again. On my tours, I love sharing not just Kyoto’s famous spots, but also local stories, daily life, and the unique mindset of Japanese people. I really enjoy talking and learning from my guests too. Let’s explore Kyoto together and find the beauty in our differences!

I have been an Interpretive Tour Guide for over 20 years. I landed in Japan with the United States Air Force in 1983 and have been learning, tasting and enjoying Japanese food all this time! Woohhoooo!! As an ex-Executive Assistant Food and Beverage Manager/Director, I know food, most of all Japanese food, and I want to show you how fun and incredible it is! I promise your time with me will be fruitful, (get the pun?) making some amazing memories along the way. I used to do daytime cultural tours until the pandemic left us out in the cold for three years so I had to switch over and do something else in which now I run a food tent and a food truck, making delicious smash burgers and tacos. Even though I was number one on a renowned travel platform for a while, I have selected to only do evening food and sake tours now. I also run a children's food bag program three days a week that we started about a year and a half ago. So if you would like me to take you around, I will still give you cultural and historical information, feed you amazing food and create some great memories for you to take home.

I have been interested in Japanese traditional culture. I used to be in a Kendo(Japanese fencing) club and a Japanese flower arrangement club when I was a student. I got a degree of Sho-dan(first-dan) in Kendo, and a diploma in follower arrangement. I also got a certificate as a Japanese tea instructor. It would be my great pleasure to help you find out more about Japanese culture. Shizuoka is a lovely place to visit. It has many historical sites, traditional culture, abundant nature and a wide variety of local specialties including green tea, wasabi, many kinds of fruits and sea food fresh from the sea! You will be sure to enjoy them. Hope to see you here in Shizuoka!

I'm Hiroyuki. I was born in Osaka, central city in western Japan, and when I was college student, lived in Kyoto, previous capital of Japan, and now live in Tokyo, current capital. I have worked for a global company for about 30 years. Working with international members gave me the opportunity to communicate with people with different cultures, and sometimes the opportunity to guide the spots of interest to them. I found it interesting to show Japanese interesting spots to the guests, such as the wonderful things, strange things, mysterious things, marvelous things. For the past few years, I tried to improve ability to communicate with people from abroad. Recently, Japanese history intrigued me. I’m really into finding historical places, local favorites, and unique systems in Japan. In the tour pages, I am introducing tours in Tokyo and tours in Kyoto and Osaka. I include the orthodox sightseeing places. However, you could also specify some unique local places. Information about local spots and local foods such as Ramen, Udon would be interesting to you. Please contact me and let’s talk about your itinerary specially made to order. I’m looking forward to hearing from you and to seeing you in Japan.
