We continue our coastal journey with coffee, quick shopping or bathroom stop in Noordhoek, with the breathtaking views of Noordhoek and Long Beach beneath us. Guests will have the option to enjoy some of the best coffee brewed in Cape Town at the Farm Village.
Explore the Southwestern most tip of the African continent. We take our iconic photo with the Cape of Good Hope sign board. Here you will also have the option to hike to Cape point Lighthouse (60 minutes). There are also beautiful beaches that you will see along the way, as well as various fauna and flora.
Just 15 minutes drive from Cape of Good Hope, at Cape Point we will have a choice between a 15-minute hike or take the Flying Dutchman Funicular to the Cape Point Lighthouse. Here we will also witness the cold Benguela from the Atlantic Ocean meets the warm Agulhas current of the Indian Ocean.
Enjoy lunch at the two ocean restaurant (at your own expense) before leaving the reserve for the penguins.
Our next visit will be the Penguins colony at Boulders beach. Your guide will escort you to the viewing point to see some of the 3000 breeding African Penguins at close range. You may even find some of these enchanting creatures walking alongside you on the boardwalk.
Our return route pass by Muizenberg where you will see the colored British beach huts used as changing rooms. These are reminiscent of the bathing machine of the 1800s, which was a cart-like structure that was wheeled down to the water’s edge, allowing ladies to change into their bathing costumes.
