I love what I do. I love my part of the country and live in one of the most beautiful countries and cities. I can say this after travelling too. I am not a fan of wasting your time (or mine) standing in long queues. We have about 4 places where you may need to do so. Otherwise I take you to the little known but beautiful spots to enjoy. Let me know what your favourite things are to do, and I can design a tour around this (eg art, museums, nature, animals, wine). I will design anything from one day trips to 5 day trips. I also know a fair amount about the Xhosa population and can show you a lot in this regard. I am fully vaccinated and have received my booster. If you need an airport transfer - please ask. If you want buy a wooden item - please ask.

“A Powerful, Insightful & Unforgettable Soweto Experience”
Nathan was an incredible guide — professional, warm, and deeply knowledgeable about Soweto’s history and community. He shared powerful stories with honesty and respect, giving us a perspective we could never have gained on our own. We always felt safe, welcomed, and inspired. This tour was the highlight of our time in Johannesburg and a reminder of the resilience and spirit of the people of Soweto. Thank you, Nathan, for such a meaningful experience!

Hi Mirela Thank you so much for this incredibly thoughtful review. Reading your words truly means the world to me. I'm deeply grateful for the opportunity to share Soweto's stories with you, and I'm thrilled to know that the experience resonated with you so powerfully. It was my absolute pleasure to guide you, and your kind words about feeling safe, welcomed, and inspired are the highest compliments I could receive. Thank you for joining me—it was an honour to guide such receptive and engaged guests. Cheers Nathan

“Visit to JoBurg”
We had 3 days in JoBurg wanted to make the most it. Making the decision to get a personal guide was a good one. We are two females so having Nathan provided us safety as well as a great way to see areas of Joburg we would not have done by taking a mainstream tour or self navigating this city. Nathan provided informative and detailed commentary, made sure we got tickets and into the venues before leaving us to explore at our pace. He was able to get us taken through a shanty town amd into the home of a family which was very much a privilege to be able to do this.. Great having someone there waiting when you finished. Maybe adding a few more specific tours to your repertoire Nathan may be useful. For.those with more time we recommend having a day break in between visiting venues such as Apartheid museum amd Constitutional hill as so much to absorb. I would even consider having a couple of visits to the Apartheid museum and do half each day to fully appreciate the wealth of history this offers. Fully recommend Nathan..thanks for making our short trip to JoBurg a great experience

Dear Ngaire, Wow, thank you so much for taking the time to share this amazing review—it truly made my day! It was an absolute pleasure guiding you and your friend during your three days in Jo’burg, and I’m thrilled you felt the experience was worthwhile. I’m especially happy to know you felt safe while exploring the city’s deeper layers—that’s always my top priority. Hearing that you saw a side of Johannesburg you wouldn’t have discovered alone (or on a mainstream tour) is exactly why I love what I do: sharing the real Joburg, safely and personally. The visit to the shanty town and the family’s home was a true highlight for me too—thank you for calling it a “privilege.” Facilitating those raw, human moments is what gives my work meaning, and I’m honored I could share that with you both. Your suggestions are gold! I’m already brainstorming new specialized tours to add to my repertoire—your feedback is incredibly helpful. And you’re spot-on about pacing intense visits like the Apartheid Museum and Constitutional Hill. Next time, I’d love to design a more spread-out itinerary (maybe even split museum visits!) so you can absorb all that powerful history without overwhelm. Thanks again for trusting me with your Jo’burg adventure and for that glowing recommendation. If you ever return—or have friends heading this way—I’d be over the moon to show you more of our city’s hidden gems! Warmest regards, Nathan
Michelle E.
