Hello guests! Welcome to Japan and thank you for your coming our country. I'm Mariko, a local guide of English speaking, who were born and raised in Tokyo. I am very curious to know why you choose Japan as your trip destination this time :-)
I have experienced to be a local guide for guests from almost 15 different countries as volunteer activities for a few years so far. My motivations of guide activities are communicating with lots of people from abroad as well as introducing our unique cultures such as architectures, histories, industries, educations and cuisines. I am even learning different perceptions about Japan from foreign guests.
In particular, Tokyo is one of massive cities in the world and it may be a bit difficult for you to decide by yourself where you visit, what you do for your experience, what you want to eat, especially in case it is the first visit to Japan. Additionally, you may have language barriers and transportation systems in Tokyo may be complicated to understand for strangers. I am always welcome to be your guide in such cases and very happy if I can support to make your trip wonderful and memorable.
My guide tour is almost personalized and flexible, vising to 3-4 sightseeing spots in a day according to your ideas. So, please get contact with me and let me know your preferences. I am looking forward seeing you and share the moment with you here in Japan!
For your information, I love traveling as well and visited to 20+ counties in the world and had some educational backgrounds in US & UK. My hobbies are searching nice & reasonable cafes, going on hiking and visiting to various types of Onsen (hot springs) all over Japan.

I prefer to receive a guide request 2 weeks before the expecting tour date as much as possible and extra charge for pick up will be asked in case your hotel located outside of the center of Tokyo.

“One Day in Tokyo”
My wife and I recently visited Japan and spent one full day with Mariko touring Tokyo. We found her to be highly responsive throughout the planning stages and very helpful during the tour. Although the transportation system in Tokyo is excellent, it's an extremely crowded city. Being with Mariko allowed us to see far more than we'd have been able to experience on our own had we tried to figure it all out independently.
