About Tour Guide Seigo U.

Hi.

I’m Seigo.

I am a licensed guide in both English and Chinese. I can speak Spanish just a little bit.

I enjoy listening to music, watching sports, driving in my car, and learning new languages in my free time.

Since I have lived in Kanagawa my whole life, I can offer satisfying private customized tours to each guest group.

My recommended destinations in Kanagawa are Kamakura, a seat of Japan's first Shogunate, and Hakone, a popular resort area with mountains and Lake Ashi.

In addition to the standard tourist destinations, I can also drive you around some nice places in the suburbs of Tokyo that foreign tourists don't usually visit.

It will be great if you have fun exploring Japan with my little help.

Please feel free to contact me anytime!

I'm looking forward to seeing you soon!

Highlights of Hakone

Our tour of Hakone’s top attractions was well-organized by Seigo san and may well be the highlight of our 10-day Japan trip. He carefully planned what could be packed in 8 hours and gave clear instructions for every step of the adventure, from boarding the Shinkansen in Tokyo to hopping on the Owakadani ropeway and Ashi pirate ship. We were glad he prioritized the Open Air Museum and chose the right timings for lunch and the Lake Ashi cruise. The special viewing spot for Mt Fuji at dusk was the perfect cap to our exclusive tour. Seigo San is well travelled, fluent in English, interested in other languages and cultures which makes him a very cool and responsive guide. Thank you Seigo San for our memorable Hakone adventure!

Maria san, Thank you for your kind words. I couldn't be more pleased to know how much you enjoyed our tour in Hakone. I only wish you could have had more time to explore the Open Air Museum to your heart's content. It was a great pleasure guiding you and your friends. Thank you for leaving a wonderful memory to me. I am looking forward to your coming back to Japan shortly. Seigo

Best car tour and experienced guide!

Seigo is a wonderful guide, with excellent timing and consideration for how to plan a wonderful tour with several stops at unique Hakone attractions! He was at every meeting place early and kept in touch with what’s app to ensure good communication through the 2 days we had with him. I was right to trust him with timing and the itinerary- with places, times, useful Japanese phrases too! We had efficient and timely tours in a comfortable car with a safe, competent driver who really knows his way around the area. I highly recommend Seigo’s car tour and his itineraries for what to do and see based on our requests and his knowledge of the places .

Sheila san and Susie san, Thank you for your kind words. I tried my best to create and implement a tour that would meet your requests. I couldn't be happier if you had fun exploring Hakone in my car. I enjoyed going on a trip to Enoura Observatory and several popular attractions in Hakone with you. You were so nice and kind all the time. We talked a lot about many things while on the tour. It was fun and inspiring to me. I hope you enjoy the rest of your stay in Japan and we meet again in US or Japan.

Best guide in Hakone

We were so fortunate to spend the day exploring Hakone with Seigo, a true expert on this area. Seigo was well versed in the area and helped us refine an agenda that included the greatest hits in a very efficient manner. Seigo then was nice enough to extend the day to include a demonstration by a local woodworking artisan that we highly recommend as well. Spend time with Seigo, you will be glad you do so.

Seth and Jenny, I appreciate your kind words. You were so nice and curious. I couldn't be happier if you enjoyed my car tour in Hakone. I enjoyed guiding you to highlight attractions including the Amazake-Chaya and the demonstration of Hakone Yosegi Zaiku, the traditional woodcraft. Today's trip with you will be an unforgettable memory of mine. I hope you have a lot more fun during the rest of your stay in Japan. Well, until we meet again!

I’m so excited to have a chance to show you around my favorite spots in Kanagawa prefecture. I was born in Kanagawa. I spent my whole school life, including university, here in Kanagawa. I worked as a high school English teacher here for 40 years. I love Kanagawa so much. We have many interesting tourist spots, like Hakone, Kamakura, Enoshima and Yokohama. I got my tour guide license in English in 2009. I am still an English teacher. To give an interesting and impressive lesson to young high school students, I’ve learnt and gathered many kinds of information. I also have a license to teach social studies, so I have a wide range of knowledge about Japanese culture and history. I’m sure to provide you an interesting tour.

Hello! I'm Leandra, and I'm stoked to be your guide as we dive into Japan. With seven years under my belt living here, I've become your trusted source for all things related to exploring this amazing country. Whether it's navigating the bustling city streets or trekking through scenic nature trails, I've got you covered. I have extensive experience guiding excursions through mountains, inner city hidden gems, underground music scenes, and scenic day trips in the vicinity of Tokyo. When I'm not guiding, you can catch me indulging in my hobbies of digging into Japanese history, hitting up local shrines, lacing up my running shoes for a jog, scouting out new restaurants, or hitting the trails for a hike. Originally from sunny SoCal, my roots stretch back to both Japanese and Mexican heritage, with a sprinkle of samurai lineage thrown in for good measure. So, if you're ready to dive into the real Japan, away from the tourist traps, join me for an adventure you won't soon forget. Let's do this!
