Joetsu was the former capital city of Echigo Province until the mid 19th century. It has a lot of historic sites and scenic spots, and most of all good people. I love my city very much. I worked for the Joetsu City office for over thirty years. During my time there, I was in charge of international relations for about ten years. In March 1983, I graduated Chiba university. Major is psychology. In April 1983, I entered a manufacturing company of semiconductor components and I was assaigned to the overseas sales dept. For more than 40 years, I had done sales activities with foreign semiconductor companies using English language. I had visited foreign customer companies located in several foreign countries on once a month basis. I have stationed myself in Singapore and Malaysia for 5 years. I have homestayed in Los Angels for a month and in Oakland New Zealand for a week. I have welcomed an American teacher in my house for a week as a homestay program. I have passed the examination of Tour Guide in 2016. I have teached the skiing in Shiga Highland Ski Resort, Happo-one Ski Resort and Iwatake Ski Resort. I had guided bus passengers(most of them were Austllarian people) at the bus terminal in Hakuba-Happo. I am now teaching junior high school students English grammar.

Thank you very much for your comment. I am very happy to find that you enjoyed your time in Lake Aoki and Hakuba Iwatake Mountain Resort. The temperature was extremely high, so I was worried about heatstroke, but thanks to the cool lake water flowing in from the Northern Alps into Aoki Lake and sunshine filtering through foliage, we were able to enjoy a day outdoors even in the middle of summer. And the view of the Hakuba Happone ski resort from Iwakura Resort summit was stunning, with the lush greenery in full bloom.

“A day of enjoyment in Nagano”
My family had a wonderful day visiting Nagano. The snow monkey park was so enjoyable and the hike from the park was beautiful. We enjoyed eating the traditional dumplings from this area, as well as the sake brewery tasting and the beautiful temple. Erin was very nice and informative and made the day very nice. Definitely a doable day trip from Tokyo using the Shinkansen. Oh and the apples and apple juice from this area is so delicious.
