Hi I’m a friendly Australian living in Japan for 20 years. I work as a Kindergarten teacher here so I design my tours to be very Family Friendly: stress free for the parents and exciting for the kids. I particularly love to make little packs filled with goodies for the kids so they can experience what Japanese kids do. I want my guests to experience a real Japan and I love teaching Japanese to the little ones. * Children with special needs and/or mobility issues are especially welcomed. I can make accommodations and plan a tour based on their unique needs.

A 4 hour custom tour of Tokyo for you and your family. We can see all the famous sights including Shibuya Crossing, Hachiko dog., Harajuku’s Famous Takeshita Dori, Meiji Jingu and also do things that Japanese people themselves love to do in Tokyo. Learn Japanese while touring Shinjuku, Harajuku and Shibuya
Learn and use Japanese while seeing Shinjuku National Gardens, Tokyo Metropolitan Building, Harajuku’s Famous Takeshita Dori, Meji Jingu and Yoyogi Park. This is a great tour for kids as we will visit places where they can use Japanese that our guide will teach them while the adults can enjoy the above mentioned famous Tokyo sights. We will also make a “kid’s pack” with Japanese candies and treats and also a postcard with the Japanese phrases that we will use.

Mt. Takao tour (great for kids)-
Have the kids occupied while the adults enjoy the beautiful nature, attractions and temples of Mt. Takao. We offer not only an all inclusive guided tour in English for the adults but also a "treasure map" style game for children to enjoy with prizes that include Japanese coloring books, snacks, toys and candy. We will even teach them Japanese! We will see the Takao Museum, ride the cable car, visit the monkey and flower park, learn about the temples and on a clear day see Mt. Fuii at the summit.

“The perfect way to see Tokyo with kids”
Our family of four (mum, dad and two girls 10 & 12 yrs old) had a wonderful time touring Tokyo with Dan! From the moment he introduced himself to the kids, they were engaged and excited for the tour. Dan went above and beyond to make girls feel special and thoroughly spoiled! From printing off cards with their names in Japanese, to sharing hand selected tasty Japanese snacks and treats and even giving them their own bags to carry all their goodies around for the day! While there were plenty of fun stops along the way to keep the kids entertained, they also loved learning to use Japanese and being given challenges to interact with locals using the new phrases. They also enjoyed learning about Japanese history and traditions by playing fun games that Dan had created. Overall, this tour is absolutely perfect for any families wanting to see some of Tokyo’s highlights - with the confidence that their kids will enjoy the experience as much as they will! Highly recommend!

Hello! I’m Koichiro. Please call me “Yamasan”. It derives from my family name and my friends call me so. I worked for a machinery company as a project manager and engineer for mechanical and electrical construction projects both domestic and overseas for over 35 years. I recall my first overseas project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia when I was 26, and the second was in Singapore. I visited many countries for surveys, meetings, commissioning, project handing over, and so on. In 2014 at the age of 60, I decided to retire from the company and live the expected further 30 years of life with a new career and experiences. I, then, studied translation and guide interpretation. I passed the national examination for licensed guides (English) in 2015 and registered with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government in February 2016. Until now, I have been guiding many beautiful guests mainly to popular sightseeing spots such as Asakusa, Tsukiji, Omote-Sando, Meiji Jingu Shrine, and Tokyo Skytree, and also cultural experiences of Origami making, Furoshiki wrapping, and Sushi cooking. I am happy that I can freely arrange a customized tour together with you, or can propose my tours to you. I want to show you some parts of daily Tokyo life and introduce you to Bunkyo City which is located in the heart of Tokyo, just north of Chiyoda City where the Imperial Palace and Tokyo Station are. The city is Tokyo’s typical residential and academic area where I was born, grew up, and live a happy life now. Now, we can tour around the world but have not yet overcome COVID-19 completely. Recently, the number of passengers wearing masks on public transportation in Tokyo reduced to some 25% but we should mind about it still. Please carry your mask to wear it where or when necessary (December 2024, Yamasan).

I’m so excited to have a chance to show you around my favorite spots in Kanagawa prefecture. I was born in Kanagawa. I spent my whole school life, including university, here in Kanagawa. I worked as a high school English teacher here for more than 40 years. I love Kanagawa so much. We have many interesting tourist spots, like Hakone, Kamakura, Enoshima and Yokohama. I got my tour guide license in English in 2009. I am still an English teacher. To give an interesting and impressive lesson to young high school students, I’ve learnt and gathered many kinds of information.
