Mt. Takao tour (great for kids)-
Have the kids occupied while the adults enjoy the beautiful nature, attractions and temples of Mt. Takao. We offer not only an all inclusive guided tour in English for the adults but also a "treasure map" style game for children to enjoy with prizes that include Japanese coloring books, snacks, toys and candy. We will even teach them Japanese!
We will see the Takao Museum, ride the cable car, visit the monkey and flower park, learn about the temples and on a clear day see Mt. Fuii at the summit.
Meeting Point
Takao San Guchi Train Statiom
- We will meet outside the ticket gates of the station. There is only one exit to this station.
Takao 599 Museum
After meeting an handing out the kid’s adventure packs we will walk to Takao 599 Museum.
Takao Cable Car
From the museum we will take the cable car up to the temples.
Takao Monkey Park and Flower Garden
From the cable car we will walk to the Monkey Park and Flower garden.
Takao’s Famous Temples
After the monkey park we will walk through the famous Takao Temples.
Mt. Takao Summit.
We will walk to the summit and hopefully see Mt. Fuji.
Return from the summit.
We will return from the summit and go to the cable car
Famous Mt Takao soba lunch
After returning from the summit you and your family can enjoy a famous Takao soba lunch. While enjoying, your host will make 10 Japanese postcards with pictures of your journey.

“Dan the man! Awesome tour guide!”
Dan was an incredible guide! He was everything we needed and wanted for our tour. We were 2 Aussie families travelling together… 4 adults and 3 children. Dan was put on this planet to teach. He is a wealth of knowledge and his interactions with the children and keeping them entertained throughout the tour was above and beyond. Dans the best communicator I’ve dealt with in a long time. His pre-trip communication and preparation was second to none. He really put so much extra effort and energy into making us feel welcome and introducing us to as many Japanese things as possible from food to experiences. He made sure the itinerary was right for us. Dan is a typical Australian at heart, open, friendly and I’ll give it to him…. Funny too! Thank-you so much for a wonderful day Dan! We will be seeing you again sometime in the future. Book Dan if you want an easy going tour guide with excellent Japanese and English… you will not regret it. Also if you have children in your tour BOOK DAN!!!!

Dan was fantastic! He communicated often with me to customize a great night through Tokyo. He is knowledgeable and friendly- he even brought a bag of treats for our son of popular Japanese snacks. I wish we had booked more time with Dan!

“Fantastic day at Mt Takao!”
My husband, kids (13 & 11) and I spent a day at Mt Takao with Dan and had such a great time! Dan has incredible energy, such a positive vibe, and he’s extremely knowledgeable of the area. We had a hard time finding our way to our meeting spot and he video called us and walked us through the train station so we were sure we were getting on the right train. He had activities for the kids and was great at explaining things on their level so they were engaged. I wish we were staying in Tokyo longer so we found hang out with Dan again!
