I have been a tourist guide throughout Portugal for over 10 years and in recent years I have also been a fleet manager and guide trainer in a tourism agency. With roots in the stunning Serra da Estrela and the Cascais coastline, it combines the authenticity of the mountains with the charm of the southern beaches.
I specialize in not leaving out the stories and culture of the different corners of Portugal. I am passionate about history and providing unique experiences about historical monuments, the Templars and Jewish culture.

“LISBON a magic City”
We highly recommend using Joao when you visit Lisbon . From the moment we met Joao it was evident his passion & knowledge of Lisbon was brilliant. He took us to wonderful look outs away from the hustle & bustle of the usual tourist spots. His knowledge of the history of Portugal was magnificent which gave us a true picture of the rich history. A standout , was Joao took us to his neighbourhood local restaurant for lunch , where we had a traditional Portuguese meal. Joao was a magnificent host & true ambassador of Lisbon , Portugal

I was born in Lisbon and I'm forever in love with it! After my family, guiding is my greatest passion: I love what I do! I have a 5 year degree called Touristic Information, specifically to work as a Tourist Guide, as well as the Certificate of Competence acquired through a qualifying examination, in order to be able to exercise this regulated profession. Tour guiding has been my full time job since 2003 and it has always been incredibly rewarding. In 2021, I was recognized by the Wanderlust Awards as one of the world's "Best Specialist Guides", which I think is a result of doing what I love every day. Waking up knowing I'll meet enthusiastic people who are excited to discover my city makes me a very grateful and happy person. I am a mother of 3. I love planning family trips.
