I would be very glad to guide overseas tourists based on my various working experiences over 30 years in a general trading house, including overseas clients' guide in Japanese local cities, being aware of their interests and viewpoints learned through my engagement with various clients during my overseas assignments (10 years in total) and business trips to some 40 countries.
During the past 10 years living in Akita City (northern Japan), I could greatly expand my outdoor activities such as trekking (not only green season but also winter snowshoe hiking), skiing, and experiencing various local traditional festivals, fireworks festival, hot spring lodges stay with local cuisines/Sake etc. I would very much like to share such joy with our valued overseas tourists!
All tours can be customized for you. Send me a message with your requests!

Akita Nature and Culture Experience - Full-day Trekking and Kakunodate Samurai House
“A grand adventure, customized to my needs!”
Had an amazing time exploring the marvels of Akita with Kenichi-san. Not only was there nary a dull moment, the experiences I had, trekking at the top of Mount Moriyoshi even in the midst of heavy snow to see the Juhyo, the absolute magical sights en route to Lake Towada, and finally, a scenic stroll through Kakunodate... and all throughout, absolutely safe and masterful driving, coupled with a most remarkable level of conscientiousness and preparedness. It was an incredible experience!

Dear Melvin-san, Very glad to learn you really enjoyed our tour to snowy (and cold) world in Akita of this January. It was an exciting experience to do snowshoe trekking in blizzard to me as well! Besides those visited, we have various charming spots in Akita, nearby prefectures, or Tokyo metropolitan area, and I would love to have another opportunity to enjoy tour with you or your friends. Good days and best regards, Kenichi
