Lake Tazawa Lookout
Breathtaking view of Lake Tazawa colored cobalt blue to emerald green and high mountains (1,637 meters or 4,700 feet tall Mt. Komagatake etc.) seen beyond it, its peak being capped with snow in winter to early spring season!
Golden Statue of "Tatsuko"
The statue represents a famous lady named ”Tatsuko”, having become a water dragon in the folklore, symbol of eternal beauty!

“A grand adventure, customized to my needs!”
Had an amazing time exploring the marvels of Akita with Kenichi-san. Not only was there nary a dull moment, the experiences I had, trekking at the top of Mount Moriyoshi even in the midst of heavy snow to see the Juhyo, the absolute magical sights en route to Lake Towada, and finally, a scenic stroll through Kakunodate... and all throughout, absolutely safe and masterful driving, coupled with a most remarkable level of conscientiousness and preparedness. It was an incredible experience!

Akita Nature and Culture Experience - Full-day Trekking and Kakunodate Samurai House
Mt. Komagatake, 1637 meters above sea level, provides with spectacular view of Lake Tazawa and its surrounding hills and countryside. After an hour and a half drive from Akita City to 8th station of the mountain, you may go up to the peak in 90 minutes. It left top-class restaurants where Maiko/Geisha dance to accommodate the merchants from Osaka/Kyoto, and the gorgeous house and garden of the rich Sakata merchant Honma family. We also visit to inland Zen temple Gyokusenji beautiful garden at foot of holy Hagurosan Shrine.

Full-day Akita Samurai Town and Lake Tazawa Tour
Premiere Tour of Akita. In this tour, you can see how samurai lived in samurai residences. At one Samurai house, a staff member tells us about the residence. You can witness samurai swords, armor, kimonos, etc. You can take a nice photo wearing a samurai helmet. Lake Tazawa is a mysterious Lake and the deepest one in Japan. The golden statue of Tatsuko is a must-see spot in Akita. Please take memorial photos at the shore of Lake Tazawa. We enjoy lunch at Kakunodate town or near Lake Tazawa.
