I’m Khairil, a licensed tourist guide born and raised in Singapore.
I enjoy showing visitors the Singapore I know, from the famous sights to the stories, cultures, food and everyday life behind them.
Singapore may be a small island, but there’s a surprising amount to discover. We can be talking about colonial history along the river one moment, exploring the traditions of an old neighbourhood the next, and probably discussing what we should eat somewhere in between!
I especially enjoy the questions visitors ask. Why is Singapore like this? How did that neighbourhood develop? What do locals actually think about something? Those conversations often become some of the most enjoyable parts of a tour.

“Khai made me fall in love with Singapore”
I had an incredible day with Khai touring Singapore for my first visit. Because he is native to this city, he really knows and loves his city. That matters to me. We saw each section of Singapore and his explanations were very insightful into timelines and evolution. My interest is always in culture and architecture, and he made sure I got a sense of both in each part of the city which I was ethnically defined when established. We also ate and drank refreshing drinks particular to Singapore, a very welcomed treat on a humid day. If you are looking for a one day, 6 to 8 hour tour of this fantastic city built around your particular interests, Khai is the guide for you!
