The Christmas market in Old Town goes back many hundreds of years. We will enjoy the atmosphere of Christmas when enjoying the market at the Main Square and stroll in the narrow alleys of Old Town. You will hear how we celebrate the Yuletide season from the first Advent to Lucia and Christmas Eve all the way to middle of January. You will also have a possibility to sample some typical "tastes" of Swedish Christmas!

Stockholm Old Town
We will stroll through narrow lanes and see how we decorate our windows and homes for Christmas, you will hear all about Swedish celebrations, today and in the old days, as well as the history of Old Town.
At the Main Market you will have chance to see the decorations and have an expalnation about their origins and how we use them.
During our tour you will have a sample of "glögg", the typical drink for Christmas as well as ginger bread and maybe a Swedish Fika.

Let me open up the doors to my country, the culture and the history on our walks. My roots are in the country side, the province of Dalarna, where I am a qualified tourist guide. This is where one of the symbols of Sweden is made, the Dalahorse. Or why not join me to Skansen Park in Stockholm and hear about old and new traditions from Dalarna and other parts.
