Meeting Point
Lucerne Train Station (at the arch welcome to lucerne)

Swiss Local Train Experience
We begin our journey with a comfortable Swiss train ride from Lucerne to the charming village of Stans. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the changing landscapes.
Discover the Village of Stans
After arriving, we take a short 20-minute walk through the peaceful streets of Stans — a typical Swiss village full of local charm — on our way to the mountain station.
Ride to the Summit of Stanserhorn Mountain
Get ready for a special journey up the mountain! First, we board a historic funicular (cogwheel train), then transfer to the world’s first open-air Cabrio cable car. The entire ascent takes around 30 minutes and offers stunning views the whole way.
Explore the Stanserhorn mountain Summit
At the top, we will have time to explore the panoramic trails and take a short hike for even more breathtaking views over the lakes and Alps. A true highlight for nature lovers and photographers.
We will discover the Swiss flowers on a protected area and the marmots family.
Lunch Break (Not Included)
We’ll stop for a relaxed lunch at the mountaintop restaurant which has a unique feature, it revolves on itself, don't worry it is in a very very slow pace.
Everyone is free to choose what they’d like to eat or drink — whether it’s a full meal or just a snack. I will introduce you to the local specialties and help you navigate the menu, but you decide what fits your taste and budget.
Ride Back Down the Mountain Stanserhorn
After lunch and some free time, we make our way back down with the same scenic cable car and funicular — a final chance to enjoy the views from above.
Train Back to Lucerne
We return to Stans village and hop on the local train back to Lucerne, arriving in the late afternoon with wonderful memories and photos from the day.
