They say the best way to learn a language is just to start speaking it. This combined experience will have you conversing with the locals by the afternoon -guaranteed!
We’ll start the day by introducing you to the beautifully phonic and melodic language of Kiswahili.
focusing on how to order food and buy goods. Then, once you’re confident with some key phrases, we’ll head out to the most bustling market area in Dar: Kariakoo market.
Kfc Restaurant/ outside visit
Don't worry I will get there before you and I will send you my photo right away, you will not have trouble recognizing me. I'll probably see you first.
The Swahili lessons will start soon as i arrive ☺, starting with greetings 👋, don't worry, it won't be hard for you since, i love to smile😊 and laugh which forms friendships quickly and naturally.
I will teach you some of the origins of the language – and some words you probably already know, even if you’re not aware! This isn’t just a guidebook in Swahili; we’ll cut straight to the words and greetings most commonly used, focussing on how to order food and buy goods. Then, once you’re confident with some key phrases, we’ll head out to the most bustling market area in Dar: Kariakoo market. Here, you will knock the socks off the stallholders by conversing with them in perfect Swahili! Don’t worry; I'll be right by your side throughout.
From here you will start to see those people you haven't seen since you came to Tanzania in one place, everyone is selling something and others buy. Enough noise to bother your ears, everyone will want you to look at their business, its amazing when they sing to make you buy their products.
This area is a true meaning of Africa, nobody mind a space just mind your things. You might find yourself you lost everything in your pocket 😂, jusk kidding but trust me this is a market center. It feels like a different world, everyone's here.
The only place you can find any cheap shoe is here, all the brand's shoes are arranged in a small table. You'll be Amazed those shoes ain't new but everyone's fighting for them. We will go out and pass by the coffee bars that only men drink while talking about sports, politics and so on.
