You will be picked up from the airport to your accommodation in Arusha/ Moshi where you will overnight, relax, and prepare in anticipation of the adventures to come.

We depart from Arusha/Moshi in the morning and drive to Tarangire National Park.

Tarangire is famous for its herds of elephants and ancient baobab trees. This park is also well known for its high concentration of game and fantastic bird life.

Other animals to be spotted include leopards, giraffes, zebras, lions, etc. We will enjoy a game drive until late afternoon and then drive to Karatu overnight.

We depart after breakfast to the Serengeti via the Ngorongoro conservation area where we have a picnic lunch. We arrive for an afternoon game drive on the northern side of the Serengeti, entering the park. The Serengeti offers the most enthralling game-viewing in Africa: great herds of buffalo and wildebeests, groups of elephants and giraffes, eland, impala and Grant’s gazelle, lions, leopards, and many others. Accommodation at Serengeti Mbuzi Mawe Tented Lodge.

Breakfast at around 08:00am. Proceed with morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti with a lunch and leisure break at the Luxury Tented camp in the mid-afternoon. The term Serengeti means endless plains in the Masai language. In the central plains, there are carnivores like leopards, lions, hyenas, and cheetahs.

This park is normally the scene of the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra that occurs between the Kenyan Mara and the Serengeti.

Varied bird species can be seen here including eagles, ducks, geese, egrets, vultures, secretary birds, ibis, storks, herons, kites, pelicans, cranes, and guinea fowl. The Serengeti National Park is a renowned wildlife sanctuary in the world with over 3 million large mammals.

About 35 species of plains animals can be seen there including the “big 5” - Elephant, Rhino, Lion, Leopard, and Buffalo. Other common species found here include hippo, giraffe, eland, impala and other antelope types, baboons, monkeys, and a profusion of over 500 species of birds.

In May or early June, huge herds of wildebeest, gazelle, and zebra begin their annual spectacular migration northwards. In their wake follow predators, lions, cheetahs, and wild dogs with vultures circling overhead! Then back to the tented camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, with a picnic lunch packed, we depart for a game drive to the Ngorongoro Crater.

You will be amazed by its abundant wildlife that gets very close to the vehicle.

The crater floor supports more than 25000 large mammals including the remaining Black Rhinos, Zebras, Gnus, Gazelles, Buffalos, Lions, Hippos, Elephants, Elands, Hyenas, and several aquatic birds. We explore the crater till late afternoon and drive back to Arusha or Moshi and take your flight to Zanzibar or back home.
