The 6-day Machame Route offers one of the most scenic and popular ways to reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. Known as the "Whiskey Route," it provides breathtaking views, varied landscapes, and a high success rate for reaching the Uhuru Peak (5,895m).

Meeting Point

At Kilimanjaro International Airport, or at a Hotel

- We will pick you up from the airport or at your Hotel in Moshi and Arusha, and drive to the starting point of the climb. At Machame Gate.

Day 1: Arusha or Moshi to Machame Gate

After breakfast we drive to Machame Gate and start the hike to Machame Camp. This route takes you through lush rainforest, moorlands, alpine deserts, and finally to the icy summit zone. Each day is carefully planned to allow gradual acclimatization, increasing your chances of a successful summit.

Day 2: Machame Camp to Shira Camp

After breakfast we climb from Machame Camp to Shira Camp for dinner and overnight. Camping

Day 3: Shira Camp to Lava Tower, and down to to Barranco

After breakfast we climb from Shira to Lava Tower for acclimatization, and then Descend down to Barranco Camp for dinner and overnight. Camping

Day 4: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

After breakfast we climb the Barranco Wall and head to Karanga Camp for Hot Lunch and proceed to Barafu Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Barafu Camp to Stella Point, to Uhuru Peak, to Mweka camp

We wake up at midnight and start climbing to Stella Point and then proceed to Uhuru Peak 5895m. The highest point. After taking some pictures we descend down to Barafu Camp for lunch and short rest before descending down to Mweka Camp for the last night on the mountain.

Day 6: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate

After breakfast we park our bags and start our last descent from Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate where you will receive your Kilimanjaro summit certificate for all those who reached Uhuru Peak 5895m. After there we drive back to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha. It's time for Hot shower, dinner, drinks and celebrations!
