- Your safari begins with a convenient pick-up from your hotel or accommodation. Our professional safari guide and driver will meet you at the agreed time, assist with your luggage and welcome you aboard our comfortable safari vehicle. After a short briefing, we will begin our journey to Mikumi National Park for an unforgettable wildlife adventure.

Mikumi National Park

Depart from your hotel early in the morning and travel to Mikumi National Park, enjoying the scenic views of the Tanzanian countryside along the way. Upon arrival, enter the park and begin an exciting game drive with your professional safari guide.

Explore Mikumi’s beautiful plains and natural landscapes while looking for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, hippos, wildebeest, antelopes and a variety of bird species. Your guide will help you spot wildlife and share interesting information about the animals, their behaviour and the park’s ecosystem.

Enjoy a memorable day surrounded by Tanzania’s incredible wildlife before continuing to your accommodation for a relaxing evening and overnight stay.

Duration: Approximately 6–8 hours.

Safari Lodge/Camp & Overnight Stay

After your game drive in Mikumi National Park, continue to your comfortable safari lodge or camp for check-in. Take some time to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the Tanzanian wilderness. Dinner will be served at the accommodation, followed by an overnight stay as you prepare for another exciting day of safari.

Duration: Approximately 2–3 hours.

Mikumi National Park Morning Game Drive

Wake up early and enjoy breakfast before heading back into Mikumi National Park for a morning game drive. The early hours offer an excellent opportunity to see wildlife when many animals are active. Explore the park with your professional safari guide and look out for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, hippos and other wildlife. Enjoy the beautiful scenery, take memorable photos and learn more about Mikumi’s unique ecosystem.

After the game drive, begin your return journey.

Return Journey & Hotel/Airport Drop-off

After completing your morning game drive in Mikumi National Park, begin the journey back to your preferred drop-off point. Relax and enjoy the scenic views of the Tanzanian countryside along the way. Your professional driver and guide will ensure a comfortable and safe journey and assist you with your luggage upon arrival.

Early start: The safari starts early in the morning to make the most of the day and increase opportunities for wildlife sightings.

Long-distance travel: This safari involves several hours of driving between locations. Comfortable clothing and shoes are recommended.

Wildlife sightings: Animals live freely in their natural habitat, so sightings cannot be guaranteed.

What to bring: Please bring a valid passport, comfortable clothes, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, a camera and any personal medication you may need.

Weather: Safari weather can change, especially in the early morning and evening. A light jacket or warm clothing is recommended.

Park regulations: Guests must follow the instructions of the safari guide and all national park safety regulations.

Meals & dietary needs: Please inform us in advance about any food allergies, dietary restrictions or special meal requirements.

Luggage: Please bring only essential luggage, as safari vehicle luggage space is limited.

Travel documents: Guests are responsible for carrying valid passports, visas and any other required travel documents.

Itinerary changes: The schedule may be adjusted due to weather, road conditions, park regulations or other circumstances beyond our control.
