Especially at the airport, it’s important to stay in contact and provide updates. There is also airport Wi-Fi available, right? The world doesn’t revolve around just one person. If you choose not to use a phone, not to go anywhere with it, or not to carry one, that is completely your right. However, in this situation you are communicating and coordinating with other people.
