- The tour starts in the Sultanahmet area. Exact meeting point details will be shared after booking. For cruise passengers, meeting at Galataport can be arranged.

We start at the Hippodrome, once the social and political center of Constantinople. Here, we explore monuments such as the Egyptian Obelisk and the Serpent Column while learning about Byzantine daily life and chariot races.

Blue Mosque

We continue to the Blue Mosque, famous for its elegant architecture and beautiful İznik tiles. As an active mosque, it offers both cultural and historical insight into Ottoman religious life.

Topkapı Palace

We continue to Topkapı Palace, the administrative and royal residence of the Ottoman Empire for centuries.

Here, we explore the courtyards, imperial collections, and gain insight into the daily life, power structure, and traditions of the Ottoman sultans.

Hagia Sophia

Next, we visit Hagia Sophia, one of the greatest architectural achievements in history. Built in the 6th century, it stood as the largest cathedral in the world for nearly a thousand years.

Here, you will discover its breathtaking dome, Byzantine mosaics, and how this unique monument transformed from a church into a mosque, reflecting the layers of Istanbul’s history.

We explore the Grand Bazaar, one of the oldest and largest covered markets in the world.

During our visit, we will also have a short introduction to traditional Turkish craftsmanship, where you can learn about handmade carpets and local artistry.

We will also have a chance to taste traditional Turkish delights and enjoy a cup of pomegranate tea.

Ending Point

The tour ends at the Grand Bazaar or Sultanahmet area, depending on guest preference.

This is a walking tour. Comfortable shoes are recommended.

Lunch is not included. There will be a lunch break, and guests are free to join me at a recommended place or explore on their own.

Modest dress is required for mosque visits (shoulders and knees covered). Scarves are recommended for women.

On Fridays, the schedule may be adjusted depending on prayer times and crowd levels to ensure the best possible experience.

Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesdays. The itinerary will include the Basilica Cistern instead.

The itinerary may be slightly modified based on crowd conditions and timing to provide a smooth experience.
