Deborah M.
I am an art and architectural historian. I have worked at the National Gallery and other Museums in London and abroad. I moved to the University city of Cambridge over 35 years ago, lecturing at the University museums, researching and delivering a great variety of courses to locals and visitors alike in the adult sector. Art is my passion that continues to feed my own learning, which I love to share with like minded people. I aim to entertain and educate but above all communicate my own sense of wonder and joy in the world around us. The redemptive power of creativity has never been more vital and desirable in our lives than it is today ! I am keen to motivate, challenge and engage, sharing my knowledge and experience with others. I have organised many short and extended trips around England and abroad for adult students to visit sights of artistic and historical interest over the last 25 years. I am indeed privileged to enjoy my role as a tour guide in such a unique city like Cambridge I have high expectations of myself and always aim to create a high quality, personalised experience for travellers. My reviews are all 5 star ! I have a B. A. in the History of Art with French, an M. A. in Material culture & the built environment, a P. G. C. E. in Art education in Art & Design & T. E. F. L. I have trained town and museum guides locally. My research is ongoing and I am always writing the next chapter ! My tours will give you the benefit of my many years of knowledge and experience and as someone who understands the locality and will take you to the heart of its story. You already know the unique value of the authentic experience. You have arrived at Cambridge, your destination, but now the journey can truly begin, so let me reveal to you what makes this city worth visiting ! Hopefully you will depart enriched by the experience and excited to share your special memories back home.

Manuel S.
Hello! I am Manuel, an experienced and professional tour guide with extensive knowledge of the historic city centre of Cambridge. My walking tours describe men and women whose ideas and actions have affected nearly every area of human endeavour. It is very likely that someone from your region or country is already in this city to either work or study. How can that be possible in a city of less than 150,000 people? Come to one of my tours and find out. I will ensure that, no matter your background or age, your visit to Cambridge is a memorable experience. I hope to see you soon!

The story of Cambridge starts with a murder and continues with tales of love, death, betrayal and intrigue. There is something to interest everyone of all ages and from all nations. I can customise a tour for you and where the numbers are too many for a one guide (school parties for example) I can share the tour with another esteemed Cambridge GoWithGuide colleague. We have all lived in Cambridge for many years and all love telling the city's stories.

Dick M.
A life-long Cambridge resident, Dick began his education at St John’s College Choir School. He has been in love with the city and university ever since. Before qualifying as a tour guide Dick taught in Cambridge and nearby Suffolk. He has played and coached rugby locally and internationally. Dick was coach of the Cambridge University Rugby team, “The Blues”, from 2001 to 2010 helping them to beat Oxford, ‘the other place,’ six times. He also coached the Swedish team at the Women’s World Cup Finals in 2010. A true local, you will find him on the Real Tennis courts at Grange Road, out with his cycling club or in one of Cambridge’s many real ale pubs. Dick says “Cambridge has something to show everyone, with stories of famous people and events at every corner”

Murray J.
Hello. I’m Murray, a qualified tour guide in Cambridge. Is it a satisfying job? Absolutely! Walking around such an attractive city is always a pleasure (yes, even if it happens to be raining. Well, we are in England!). It’s a perfect job for would-be researchers. I love creating new tours and that means coming up with ideas for topics that people might find interesting, doing the research, organizing the information, and turning it (hopefully) into an intriguing tour. As well as introducing people to the must-see sights, I enjoy the off-the-beaten-path tours and going to places most tour guides don’t go to. I love quirky things and there are plenty of those in Cambridge – like some fascinating public art that most people miss, and perhaps one of the most unusual street musicians anywhere, if we are lucky enough to see him! As well as physical walking tours, I give a number of virtual tours. I think these can be a very nice introduction to Cambridge and I’ve given these to several groups who have then later visited Cambridge and had a walking tour. In my virtual tours I use Google Street View and Powerpoint, which allows me to explore things that I can’t on a walking tour, so, for me, virtual tours can really compliment physical walking tours. In short, I think you’ll be able to tell that I enjoy introducing Cambridge whatever areas you are interested in.

“Great Tour, Great Guide, Great Time!”
I went on the CS Lewis tour and it was a great experience. Would highly recommend taking any tour with this guide, as he is very knowledgeable and conversational! My only regret is that I only had time to do one tour!

Thank you. It was a pleasure to show you how Cambridge has links with C S Lewis. Feel free to come on another tour next time you come to Cambridge!

“Cambridge Tour with Manuel”
Manuel was a most excellent tour guide! He was knowledgeable, accommodating, informative and an excellent communicator. I would recommend him to anyone and look forward to returning to Cambridge with my husband and touring with Manuel again.

“A fantastic, delightful and detailed trip around the Colleges at Cambridge”
Murray was well prepared with printed material. He was right on time. We spent 3 hours around the Colleges in the central of Cambridge. He knew a lot of facts which made the tour interesting and funny and helped me remember for the lots of information we got. He also had activities for the kids (4 and 7 years old). It was an amazing 3 hours. I would highly recommend to walk around Cambridge with Murray for every kind of group as he is flexible and I'm sure he will organize just the right tour for you! Sophy

Sophy Thank you so much for that lovely review. I really enjoyed the tour, too! I'm sure the next time you visit King's College Chapel the kids will remember the stone dragons and greyhounds. It was also very nice to be part of your family for a short time. Many thanks again Murray
