Meeting Point
Market Square outside a shop named "Anthropologie"
- Market Square is at the very heart of the city centre. The Anthropologie shop is on the right hand corner of The Guildhall building in Peas Hill.
Market Square by Anthropologie shop
It's all a matter of degrees, isn't it? Especially when different people coexisted in a state of tension after one group was granted privileges over the other group.
Trinity College (front of Great Gate)
Kings, geniuses and treasurers make a unique successful combination in this college.
Magdalene College
Walking, talking and writing: the man who gave us Narnia and Mere Christianity lived and worked here.
Senate House Hill
A unique spot which has witnessed the doings of meticulous medics, inventive engineers and unbending men
Bene't Street
A most unusual clock and a common pub with an uncommon history. As if that wasn't enough, a most ancient church building, too.
Free School Lane
Science changed forever as a result of discoveries that took place at the laboratory housed in a neo-Gothic building... just like so many other buildings in Cambridge. A "Who is Who" among famous scientists has passed through its doors.
Trumpington Street
A deposit of priceless manuscripts. A will and testament that has changed the health conditions of millions. A set of clothing that marks you apart from other fellows.
King's Parade
Have you ever heard the angel-like singing of the King's College Chapel Choir? If you are one of those who does, this will be the highlight of your visit to Cambridge.
King's Parade (outside main entrance to King's College)
End of tour.
Ending Point
Outside King's College (main entrance on King's Parade)

About Tour Guide Manuel S.
Hello! I am Manuel, an experienced and professional tour guide with extensive knowledge of the historic city centre of Cambridge.
My walking tours describe men and women whose ideas and actions have affected nearly every area of human endeavour. It is very likely that someone from your region or country is already in this city to either work or study. How can that be possible in a city of less than 150,000 people?
Come to one of my tours and find out. I will ensure that, no matter your background or age, your visit to Cambridge is a memorable experience. I hope to see you soon!

“Great Tour, Great Guide, Great Time!”
I went on the CS Lewis tour and it was a great experience. Would highly recommend taking any tour with this guide, as he is very knowledgeable and conversational! My only regret is that I only had time to do one tour!

The Cambridge years of C S Lewis
This 1.5-hour walking tour covers the years that C S Lewis spent in Cambridge in the 1950s and early 1960s. We shall walk some of the streets he walked, listen to some quotes from his books, and for those who are willing, even talk about some of the topics which interested him. Lewis once said "I can’t imagine a man really enjoying a book and reading it only once.” This tour will show you that C S Lewis was more than the famous author who wrote The Chronicles of Narnia. Come and find out.

Cambridge: the classic 2-hour walking tour
This 2-hour walking tour of Cambridge will delight and amaze you. Here's a question: What do atomic research, the translation of the Bible, dental care, the speed of sound, Romantics poetry, night climbing and an anti-slavery campaign have in common? Answer: Cambridge people have played an important and influential role in either their creation, research or application. You will also learn about traditions in sport and music, and even pranks and jokes which relate to the university and the city.
