This 1.5-hour walking tour covers the years that C S Lewis spent in Cambridge in the 1950s and early 1960s. We shall walk some of the streets he walked, listen to some quotes from his books, and for those who are willing, even talk about some of the topics which interested him. Lewis once said "I can’t imagine a man really enjoying a book and reading it only once.” This tour will show you that C S Lewis was more than the famous author who wrote The Chronicles of Narnia. During his years at Cambridge, C S Lewis was both a Professor of Literature and a Madgalene College Fellow.

C S Lewis liked to walk. He walked these streets as he made his way to impart lectures. Did he rehearse in his mind beforehand what he was going to say? We shall hear a few words from one of his lectures.

King's Parade
We will walk down King's Parade, passing King's College Chapel on our right. Lewis admired the Chapel, just like you and me. We shall hear few words about this admiration and the reason for it.
Mill Lane
Lewis gave his lectures at Cambridge University at its Lecture Rooms here. We shall hear about how he was not just a famous writer but also an engaging lecturer.
