“Beatles tour”
My family had a great time walking the streets of NYC , with Julia! Julia made it lots of fun! It was a birthday gift for my daughter. She’s a huge Beatles fan and she loved visiting all the Beatles landmarks! Thank you, again, Julia!

Citizens of EU countries, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, and the United Kingdom are among the 39 countries that can travel to the USA without a visa currently. However it’s important to always check before purchasing tickets since entry requirements may be updated at any time.
It is also important to note that even if your country is on the visa exemption list, all travelers still need to obtain Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) clearance before traveling to the United States (this can be done online).
- Check visa requirements and apply for ESTA clearance before traveling.
- You will need to provide information regarding your travel plans (itinerary) when going through border control at the airport.
- US airport security can be somewhat strict. Simply stay polite and patient and you shouldn’t have any problems.
- Look into car rental options if you plan to travel long distances. Public transportation is only really available in large urban areas. Using rideshare apps or taxis is also a good option.
- Local culture can differ greatly depending on the State you are visiting, so do some research and be sensitive to regional differences.
Do's:
- Smile, be friendly, and shake hands when meeting someone new.
- Be respectful towards others.
- Tip at least 15-20% of the bill total in restaurants, and 10-15% for other services (baggage handlers, taxi drivers, etc.).
- Punctuality is important, don’t be late for reservations or meetings.
- Be aware of local cultural differences (some states may be more conservative than others).
Don’ts:
- Don’t assume you can smoke anywhere, in general smoking is banned indoors and in many public spaces.
- Don’t expect to see everything - the US is a large country and you’ll be hard pressed to experience everything in one trip.
- Don’t mimic accents or use American slang when speaking with strangers (it may be seen as rude).
- Don’t discuss sensitive subjects such as religion or politics unless you really know the person you’re talking to.
- Don’t push past people or make physical contact with strangers.
The kind of souvenirs you are going to purchase will depend on which state you visit, since each state has its own unique culture and flavor. In Hawaii for example, most souvenirs will be beach-themed, while in Texas or New Mexico a classic cowboy hat is always a fun gift. In New York City you can find a ton of souvenirs with the famous “I heart NY” printed on them, and in Los Angeles you can find many Hollywood-themed gifts.
At the end of the day, simply explore some local shops or ask your private guide for their recommendations and you’ll be sure to find something unique in no time!
Having a private tour guide accompany you will help ensure you get the most out of your United States tour experience. Our guides can not only take you to the best spots, use their experience as locals to show you the country’s hidden gems, and generally take care of details such as transportation, scheduling, and travel recommendations.
