Drive takes 1.5–2 hours depending on the route. The road goes through the Takhtakaracha mountain pass, offering scenic views of mountains and valleys.

Start your exploration in the historical center (UNESCO site).
Ak-Saray Palace (40 min.-1 hr.)
Visit the ruins of Amir Temur’s grand palace, once decorated with mosaics and huge arches.
Great spot for panoramic photos.
Kok-Gumbaz Mosque(30 min)
Built by Ulugh Beg in 1437. Known as the “Blue Dome Mosque.” Its one of the beautiful tilework constructions of Ulugh Beg's time.
Dorut Tilovat Complex(40min.)
Includes the mausoleums of important religious figures and Timur’s descendants.
A spiritual and peaceful site.
Mausoleum of Jahangir & Shamsiddin Kulal (40 min)
The mausoleum of Timur’s son Jahangir Mirza, father Of Timur Taraghay Bahadur and the shrine of the famous Sufi mentor Shamsiddin Kulal.
Crypt of Amir Temur (Amir Temur’s Underground Chamber) (30 min)
Inside the chamber stands a simple stone sarcophagus, unadorned yet powerful in presence. Although Amir Temur was ultimately buried in Gur-e-Amir, the crypt remains an extraordinary historical space—quiet, intimate, and deeply symbolic.
Free time
Opportunity to shop for handicrafts and souvenirs.
Departure back to Samarkand.
On the way back on the mountain we can stop for lunch where you can taste tandoor meat.
