Vietnamese Green Papaya Salad With Jerky – Nom Du Du Bo Kho in shortest street in Hanoi
The bowl of “nom bo kho” here has beautiful taste. Apart from traditional ingredients such as shredded green papaya and fresh herbs, this bowl also includes sliced dried beef jerky, thin boiled beef, dried liver, etc. When eating, all of the ingredients are mixed with sour and sweet salad dressing.
Original Egg coffee
It sounds wierd to combine egg and coffee together, but follow me, I will take you to unique original egg coffee place from 1946.
It is an amazing unique drink from Hanoi. Hanoi egg coffee at my place has both icy and hot versions, delicately made so that the fishy smell of egg is nowhere to be felt.
Worm pancake
Chả rươi, or sand worm omelet, is a seasonal Vietnamese dish made with unsightly, two-inch-long sea worms that some say give the “delicacy” a caviar-like taste.
The taste is so beautiful, not like the name. Eat with me and find out the secret flavor.

Banh Xeo - Vietnamese crispy savory pancake
I always found the name of bánh xèo interesting because the “xèo” refers to the sizzling sound it makes when you cook the batter.
The dish is perfectly combined with rice paper, fresh herbs and dipping sauce.
Kem Xoi - green sticky rice with ice-cream
The legend has it that in the autumn from thousands years ago, when rice in flowering period, there was a very huge storm which destroyed all paddy fields. The local people in Vong village had to collect and roast remaining young rice to eat. Unbelievable the dish as the last resort turned out to have distinctively delicious taste and later become a delicacy of the village.
Nowadays, it is a beautiful combination of green young sticky rice with fresh coconut ice-cream.
