Hi to everyone, I'm Paolo. I'm an archaelogist and I have been working as tourist guide (license n° 1792 of the Campania Region) for several years . I was born in in the middle of the bay of Naples, by the mount Vesuvius. I have always loved history and archaeology, also because, where I live, there are the incredible excavations of Herculaneum. Since I was a child, I loved entering in Herculaneum and in Pompeii where I was amazed by the classical civilization. So I turned my passion into my work, being a licensed tourist guide. I graduated at the "L'Orientale" University in Naples obtaining a master's degree in Classical Archaeology and during my training I participated in several excavation campaigns in Pompeii and Cuma. Ciao everyone, I started as tour guide 6 years ago, almost out of fun, out of curiosity. Contact with people has always been important for me and being born in Naples, that came very simple, almost mandatory. My city is full of history and traditions, of delicious things like pizza and "coffee suspended", because no one in Naples has to feel so poor that can not afford a coffee. A city suspended between the paradise of the sea and the flames of Vesuvius, one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world but from which you can enjoy one of the most striking views of the Gulf of Naples. And this volcano has given rise to what is still one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world, Pompeii. Rich is the history as are the landscapes, as those breathtaking of the Amalfi Coast. The most beautiful part is to recognize the wonder in the eyes of the visit for the first time. The same wonder that I had felt and that I still feel today. This is the goal: give you the best experience showing all the beauties of this area. “Private Tours of Amalfi Coast, Sorrento, Pompeii and Winery”
My wife and I spent the most incredible two days on private tours with Gabby and two very experienced, safe drivers Salvatore and Enzo. Gabby is such a warm and wonderful person who shared with great passion the history and sites of Napoli, with Day 1 Amalfi coast - Positano, Amalfi and Ravello and Day 2 Sorrento, Limoncello tasting and Winery for lunch and wine tasting. Each day started and finished on time from our hotel and what we loved about our private tour was the fact we could customise our itinerary, duration of each stop and then left to explore the villages/ sites at our own pace. Every site visit was also very well timed to avoid peak crowds! Gabby is very proficient in English, we learnt a lot about Napoli culture and family traditions, shared many laughs and enjoyed our lollies. “Roberta is an amazing tour guide!”
I booked two tours with Roberta and I am so glad I did because she is one of the most amazing tour guides out there!! The two tours were definitely the highlights of our vacation and we could not have learned everything we did without her. Not only is she very knowledgeable about Italian history but she also went above and beyond connecting with people from the two small towns outside of Naples, where my family was originally from, as these are not her normal tour areas. She spent time researching and even contacted people who knew my family members years ago giving the tours such a personal touch. I am beyond grateful Roberta had the time to take our family around and share Italy's history with us.
