We will stop at the Foundation square of the City, witness of the main historic, political and social events in the country. Around the square, we will see the most important public buildings, learn about history and Argentinian culture and habits. I will show you the Metropolitan Cathedral where there is a memorial devoted to the Jewish Community.
This is the typical italian district of Buenos Aires, full of colourfull houses and stores. La Boca was the first port of Buenos Aires and it is a synonym of Tango and Soccer. You will see people dancing Tango on the streets and lots of artists and artisans selling their work.
This is the old Spanish district of Buenos Aires, a protected area with cobbled streets and antique stores. A bohemian district that hosts a flea market only on Sundays. We will walk to an old food market where you will be able to taste Argentinian typical food. Meals are not included in the price of the tour.
This is one of the wealthiest areas in Buenos Aires, where refurbished old warehouses and modern skyscrapres coexist with an ecological reserve, a new hotel with a kosher restaurant and an old house from the beginning of the 20th century that hosts nowadays a Chabad House.
We will see the place where the Jewish Community of Buenos Aires started officially, the old Recoleta Cemetery (a unique aristrochratic cemetery with mausoleums full of art and exquisite architecture where the vault of Eva Peron can be visited). We will also see the Israeli Embassy square, a Memorial that pays tribute to the victims of the terror attack that in 1992 destroyed the Embassy and killed 22 people.
Most of the articles that are shown in the Museum were brought by the immigrants. You will be able to see documents, maps, works of art, books and religious objects that will give you a more complete perspective of everything I will tell you about immigration waves and the life of the Argentine Jews during the tour.
In Once, the commercial Jewish district, we will walk around, see the area, the Jewish stores, we will be able to see the AMIA building, the umbrella federation for most of the Argentinian Jewish institutions. The old AMIA building suffered a terrorist attack in 1994 and it was rebuild in the same place in 1999. I will also show you many memorials and murals that where painted in the area to remember the 85 victims and to claim for Justice. You will learn about the Embassy and the AMIA cases and about the life and culture of the Argentinian Jews today.
We will visit the green lung of the city, an area full of parks, lakes, a rose garden, and a lot of art.

I work everyday, but I have many bookings, especially during the high season, so I may not always be available. City tours can be done everyday.
Regarding Jewish tours, the Jewish Museum and the Synagogue are closed during the weekends, so it is better to go on a Jewish tour on a week day.
Art tours generally start at 11 am or 12 as Museums and galleries open late. Most of the art museums are closed on Mondays.
I am Claudia, an Argentinian tour guide and translator, sculptor and painter. I was born and raised in Buenos Aires into the Argentinian Jewish community. Twenty years ago, I grew bored of translating with a computer as my only company, so I decided to study tourism and history. I have been conducting City, Art and Jewish tours ever since, and enjoying every single moment of it.
