This tour is intended to take you in a trip full of flavors. Argentina is not just BBQ... although we grill almost everything, there are also some traditional dishes that go back to 1000 BC. We bring our gastronomy to you together with a wine tasting experience in which you will discover the wines of Argentina, the regions, the terroir and of course the wines.
This itinerary can be customized to meet your needs and preferences. Send me a message with your requests!
Hotels, cruise port, domestic airport (AEP), temporary rentals.
- - Being a door-to-door service, I can pick you up at any place that you are staying (or arriving) inside the city area. At the cruise port and domestic airport (AEP) there is only one way out, so it is very simple to meet each other, I always carry a sign with your name (or group name) written on it.
To go to San Isidro we must head to the north of Buenos Aires. In the way we will cross the northern park lane, an incredible green area that will surprise you. After leaving the city we will drive on the Panamerican highway, which is the one that links Buenos Aires with Alaska.
Once arriving to San Isidro, we will visit iconic places of this county like the Hippodrome of San Isidro and the residential neighborhoods of Lomas de San Isidro, Horqueta and the Old town.
At the Old town we can see the typical colonial architecture and the magnificient Cathedral.
From the Old town we will drive to the English Quartier of San Isidro and right there we will go to a family house were we will start with the wine tasting and the cooking experience.
About the wine tasting: You will have the chance to learn about the wine regions of Argentina while tasting wines that are not so common to find in local stores. The wines come from small producers and reflect the spirit of the land they were produced.
About the cooking experience: We will introduce to different dishes that are typical from Argentina. There will be a starter, a main course and dessert.
Of course grilling is always present!
For example a summer menu can look like these:
Starter
- Humita: Sweet corn with melted cheese wrapped in corn leaf (authentic recipe of the NW of Argentina)
- Provoleta: Grilled Argentinean cheese
- Choripan: A chorizo sandwich with chimichurri sauce
Main dish:
- Brochettes: Sirloin beef with onions and sweet green and red peppers.
- Grilled beef ribs
- Rib eye
Dessert:
- Alfajores
The menu varies according to the season of the year. All the chosen products come from local markets and are from small producers and organic, thus assuring the freshness and taste involved in the cooking experience.
After the wine and cooking experience we will drive back to Buenos Aires city following the coastline of San Isidro where we will appreciate the River Plate (widest river in the world).
Tour ends at hotel / cruise / domestic airport (AEP)
