Because Chile is such a culturally, climatically and geographically diverse nation, 12-14 days is ideal. Q: What is the best way to tour Chile?

Given Chile’s overwhelming size and varying terrain, touring looks different depending on where you are. In Santiago, walking and riding the metro and the bus is the best way. If you’re in the Atacama or more remote regions, a private car or long distance bus will get you where you need to be. Trekking and hiking is popular in the Patagonia region, but supervision is required at certain points. If you’re trying to plan a roadmap for touring Chile, talk to a local Chilean guide about your transport options.

Q: What is the best time of year to visit Chile?

This depends on where you’re going and which activities you’d like to take part in. For Puerto Varas and the greater Patagonia area, November to March is best while Santiago is best enjoyed from September to March .

Think about that, with 19 years old my university wanted show us something special and characteristic, so Volcanoes, great green landscapes of the surrounding areas was just perfect for us.

This is my favorite hike, I invite you all to discover the amazing forest and spectacular basalt formations.Calbuco volcano, along with its neighbor Osorno, is one of Chile's most active volcanoes. It is located 11 km south of Lake Llanquihué and 30 km NE of the town of Puerto Montt in the Lake District in southern Chile. Calbuco volcano consists mainly of blocky lava flows and tephra layers, and its summit is truncated by a 400-500 m wide summit crater.

We will take the teleferic and will have one of the best panoramic views of the city. We leave early from the hotel for the La Picada sector of Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park, on the slopes of Osorno Volcano. From there, we hike 10 km across the Desolación Pass (1,096 m), crossing from the Llanquihue Lake basin to Todos los Santos Lake. Along the way, enjoy volcanic landscapes, panoramic Andean views, and a picnic lunch before descending to the lake

“Great tour guide, highly recommend ”

Thank you Manfred for a wonderful experience in Santiago! I would highly recommend him as a tour guide. My father and I had a long layover in the city and Manfred provided us with a 6-hour tour of city highlights, including a funicular ride, and great spots for local coffee and snack breaks, as well as a chance to try a pisco sour. He was really friendly and easy to spend the day with, as well as very knowledgeable and provided interesting history and context for everything we saw and more. He also provided reliable roundtrip transportation to and from the airport with us and a secure place to store our luggage. All in all, it couldn’t have gone better for the time we had and we felt like it was a day really well spent! Really appreciate his time and hope others are able to enjoy his tours in the future.
